He's spot on here all the players need to take a look at themselves. We do only have one world class player is true, We have a lot of good players but until we get a midfielder who can control a game and it's tempo and a right winger of genuine quality and a striker with power, not to mention a CB we'll continue to struggle. Were making it really hard for the young players to develop as were asking them to be our leaders all over the pitch and it's failing. After all that we also need rid VG most of all. His plan has failed, and will continue to do so.

IMO Man United have got nothing to lose if they sack LVG and give the job to Giggs. Because end of the day Man United target is to get in top 4, which looks like unlikely. It looks like Spurs are running away with the top 4, the way Spurs have been playing this season it would be hard for Man United to catch them up. Also at least Giggs will give the United players freedom to play, which LVG never does.

I had no doubt back then and even before the West Ham game when it was in our hands that we'd miss out on top 4. Plenty of chances to capitalise all last season on gaining 3 points while others were dropping points and we didn't take advantage. Thank god we have a world class manager and a great team now becuase I honestly think Van Gaal would have stayed if we got top 4. We wouldn't have made a signing any where near Paul Pogba's level if he stayed.

Ray hit the nail on the head, he patently knows what he's talking about, he knows the club inside out. Yes our players are frightened to death of playing, they probably don't believe in themselves. What could LVG do about it? Not much I suppose, it seems like he's lost the dressing room. Now what would LVG's potential sacking offer? Well it'd represent a huge gamble. It would mean players would have to adjust to another approach which might be radically opposed, it would be make or break and would leave the incoming manager in an extremely tricky situation. We all know the board won't budge right now. If anything is likely to happen then it'll be in the latter stages when we've lost all hope of qualification and or silverware. I may be living in dreamland but LVG could still pull it off and possibly even get us some silverware, and he's the only one who could ultimately do something about it.

Perfect analysis! De Gea is the only world class player we got currently. I don't know what he's doing with Martial. He plays him left,right,center, everywhere. This guy is still thinking the Dutch way of Total Football will come good. He likes to play players out of positions. Injuries are part of it but he's not done things right. Young at right-back, Valencia at right back, Hernandez gone. F**kin annoying. We need flying wingers. Had Di Maria stayed and we had an attacking system we could have easily torn apart defenses with Martial, Memphis, Di Maria and Rooney with Januzaj and Andreas Perreira also available on the Bench. But somehow Van Gaal doesn't seem to understand this. There's no fear factor in his team. No one runs at the opponents. Sideways, possession ,bulls**t. You need to make something happen in the game. The performance was depressing to say the least.

every club dominance ends some day the great liverpool sides of the 70's and 80's, arsenals the invincibles the list goes on. fergie done a fantastic job and he knew what he was doing how to lift the players, when 1 goal was enough what players to play in certain games always got the right balance. i remember when united fans called for fergies head on more than a dozen occasions. so nothing has changed really.

Well said Ray! Testified! I guess the verdict is out for LVG, isn't it guys? He really has to go @ the end of the season, if not now! I think that he has been given ample time, opportunities & resources to improve the squad he inherited frm Moyes. But wat's apparent to all of us is that the squad had failed to produce decent results nor performed up to the standard that's expected of them for the past 2 seasons. Sure, the players need to bear a fair share of responsibilities too for the teams poor performances, but it's hard to imagine that LVG's football philosophy & his uber-stubborn personality had nothing to do wif it. I've mentioned earlier (since the Norwich defeat in Dec) that he shld be given a serious ultimatum of some sort to turn things arnd within a certain time frame, be it the performances or results. Which means he has to CHANGE, cos things aren't working by his way. But rite now, I'm really not confident abt that anymore cos I think that he'll nv be capable of changing, be it his football philosophy or his attitude. N even if he was issued an ultimatum, I think he'll still be nonchalant abt it cos of his Larger-Than-Life attitude. The board were culpable too for this, as they were juz too incompetent & amenable to handle (let alone to support) a manager like LVG. It 1 thing to maintain a certain club culture of giving time & full support to a manager, but we hav to weight the pros & cons of doing so. Time has changed vastly since the arrival of Fergie in the 80s. We've to realize that if we were to compromise our results in the long run consistently for the sake of upholding a certain club culture, we'll very soon decline to be the Pool/Spurs/Everton of now, & thus, struggle to play (forget abt winning) in the UCL. N if we got to that stage, we'll struggle to attract any top class players of any sort to improve our performances, juz like wat Pools r experiencing now. Is that the kinda situation that we hope to see our beloved Manchester United to in?
