Ray Brown Trio is a much better fit for her, than that boring old rythmless Yanni music. I find people rubbing their fingers on wet glass more interesting.

as someone already said she did play the wrong song...but it sounded amazing anyway. Musicians are their own worst critics. She proly got that weird sick feeling in her gut too! She is great though. Love the Jeopardy theme in there toO!

No she played the right song Reets and I. As a jazz musician, I know this tune very well. You will find recordings of Bud Powell playing it so beautifully.

Yeah it known as “quoting” among jazz musicians. When someone does it too often, the others of say that we need to call out the “quite police”. Obviously not in Regina’s case. She is so brilliant.

Not sure who Reets is. But this is a well known tune among bebopper jazz players. I have known of this tune since the 1970s.

Agreed. I have yet to hear jazz violin that actually swings. Way too much articulation is lost to the bow.
