Ray is a mad Asian genius and his face perfectly expresses the pressure and emotion of whatever he's doing. It's awesome and hysterical and powerful... just like good classical music. Man I enjoy this guy and twoset. Classical never seemed so fun

LeoCantThinkOfAName I went to his concert a while ago and it was just like you said! Truly unforgettable, I’m glad he has posted that version on his channel now :) also at that concert when he finished the piece the hall actually stayed silent for a while, allowing the ending elegy to kind of echo and slowly fade away, it was absolutely amazing . (it was the first time I ever see that happen most of the time people just clap immediately afterwards)

I used to play this with my grandad before we lost him. I play violin, he played guitar. This brought back a flood of memories and emotions that I definitely didn't expect to be feeling today XD Absolutely beautiful, I loved this

I heard this on ABC Classic in Australia for the first time on the last day of Australian Music Month and it absolutely took my breath away. I had to pull over to the side of the road, I had tears in my eyes because it was perfection- the playing, the energy, the quality of the recording and the arranging. Well done, bravo

I can't believe I just spotted Mr Grosz on viola!!! He's almost "gluing" this quartet together with his skill and beautiful viola made before Chen's violin! 1:43 is all the proof you need! (or the whole track hehe).

For those who adore Ray's facial expressions, there's a wonderful reason why they are like they are. A huge part of an orchestral conductor's job is conveying to the orchestra the EMOTION of a particular passage. One way they do this is with facial expressions, along with body movements and of course the baton. So Ray here is conducting his colleagues, leading the emotional character with his use of facial expressions. His dances also show when things should be heavy, light, or groovy as shit. This is top notch conducting. As well as playing the violin. No big deal.

Ray and his string quartet needs to be on either Asian or American's Got Talent. This is a beautiful song and it's rarity that it can be played many different ways if it's played right and Ray proved it here. I LOVE this song!!!! Don't let classics, such as this song, die with the past.
