Well, back in the day, anxiety meant "having bad nerves". Autism Spectrum D/O was considered " being weird" or "being slow". ADHD meant "you're bad and don't listen". And clinical level depression was dismissed as " laziness". My point is these mental health issues have existed for some time , however, today we are now having more open conversations about the topic.

Claudia had a good point about no coping skills for the younger generation. I think it starts with the parents. A friend of mine was a counselor in a Junior/High school. He said the PARENTS were the main culprits in not wanting/allowing their kids to experience any adversity. He said they would call the school over and over again, hounding counselors to put their kids in specific classes at specific times with specific teachers. He said dealing with the parents was a nightmare, and the young kids were not developing any life skills to handle when everything doesn't go their way.

If a child expresses their emotions to a parent that parent needs to listen and take it serious. Stop comparing your problems to other people problems. THANK YOU and that's what Will and Jada learned! they used to dismiss or ignore their childrens feelings because they were so young, but it's like, if your kid is communicating with you, LISTEN TO THEM! As a kid my issues were treated as behavioral issues and I had to suppress all of my feelings or else I'd be sent to the crazy house. that's legit what was said to me by my family and by my damn school. That only lead to my illness getting worse. I suffered with anxiety and depression as a kid and everybody thought I was just acting out, no I was suffering but nobody wanted to listen to me! As an adult I finally decided to seek help because I just couldn't handle the pain anymore. I was diagnosed with severe anxiety and depression, and as I talk with my therapist about things I recognize that so many of my feelings and decisions have been based in anxiety which stems from my childhood. This generation is doing the work to not be emotionally damaged and to pass that crap onto their children, that's what Funky and Claudia don't realize. They themselves are damaged so they believe others should be too... NO.

Regardless of economic status, race, age, sexual orientation. She went 2 months after weight loss surgery which was too soon. She should've waited. May she rest in peace. I got the sleeve in 2017 then had a BBL, Lipo 360 and TT July 2021 in the DR. My surgeon is board certified. I had loose skin. I did it for me!

I got it cuz I was pre diabetic and had high cholesterol. Since then I haven't had anything, it went away so when I got my bbl and tt I was in good health and 53.

The main reason why today's kids seem so emotionally unstable, is because of the psychological side-effects of Social Media (SM). Kids K-12 don't have the emotional maturity to use such a 1 dimensional platform. The "Human Nature" of an adolescent is drawn towards the allure of having a large number of connected "Friends" as well as the gradifing "Likes." All the while they are totally oblivious to the amount of strain they're putting their exposed emotions through. Blindly and I'll equipped, they navigate through far more issues, situations, opinions, and opinions disguised as facts, than we parents ever did. They choose not to communicate with their voice but instead texting is their primary format for communicating and developing relationships. Which btw is the worst format for human communications that's ever been made for man. I could go on and on, don't get me started! So it's no wonder that kids have emotional problems.

Why do people think wealth means not going through anything? They're the most messed up. This conversation is why I can't with certain people. Having actually listened to what they were sharing at the table, Willow had legit reasons to have anxiety. Will had issues he wasn't aware of as a parent. Jada is clearly a narcissist. Add in the family issues of both parents, no normalcy due to celebrity, God knows what they were exposed to, and the public constantly referring to you as "Will and Jada's weird a$$ed kids" and you're bound to have issues. If anxiety is all she had to deal with, she's blessed. You don't have to live a long time to go through things when you're surrounded by people who have baggage and unaddressed mental issues.
