I TOTALLY agree with AL. I do not put the Pastir on a pedestal and expect him to save my soul. I go to church to learn how to interpret what I am reading in the Bible. Even that I don't trust ONLY on humans to do. I also pray for understanding. It also refuels you to deal with the 'every day issues. The church I grew up in had gossip, but it also helped the community tremendously. I've witnessed my church pay peoples rent, when they could not afford it and etc. The church is. community, not something to rely on ONE man. Now, if you don't like the church you are in, find a church/ community that is more tailored to your needs.

I agree fully. A pastor should refrain from adultery, crime and immoral conduct. Why would anyone go to church to hear about a true source(God) from a liar, a adulterer and a man that has terrible views of marriage 💑. He would never marry me. I understand that he is a man first and he has needs. If he was a morialized being he would have obtained a divorce before he slept with women that he was not married to. A good person would practice what he/she preaches.

Claudia and Funky brought up an interesting question regarding Al...which can also apply to anyone. They asked how Al represents his faith. In other words, "you say that you believe and practice Christianity...but we don't see a difference [regarding how he lives his life through and through] between you and us." It's a relevant, noteworthy inquiry to/for anyone that professes to follow the faith.
@Marydouglas8212 жыл бұрын
It was a great question !! Many people wanna call it an attack, but it’s real. No one said Christians need to be perfect, but there should be some level of differences between a person of faith and not .
@Dr.K.Harris2 жыл бұрын
@@Marydouglas821 exactly. Romans 12:2. I think people also forget that MANY folks claim to follow the faith, but don’t actively adhere to the values. Claudia shouldn’t use her experience with church as a blanket and I agree with Al, for the many mega churches ppl see and hear about those are the few amongst many spiritual leaders. Is accountability and reproach an issue, sure because we are talking about humanity. The assertion that someone can’t be Christian or saved because they have sex or have sinned or done things wrong is literally the opposite of Christianity and many other basis of religion. Ppl and the congregation make it a purity and morality issue where no one should be this or that, when God has the final word on all individuals and how you come to know him and serve or worship is your business. Should Jamal have said that? No, he probably was using that as a carrot to dangle to increase the offering and manipulate, but that isn’t ALL clergy.

I’m so tired of the Tea GIF crew acting like Wendy is mentally gone. Wendy ain’t crazy. Just because someone has an illness and went through something emotionally doesn’t mean they are crazy or going crazy.
@CherieButler2 жыл бұрын
Nobody is acting! We really do believe that Wendy is suffering from some form of mental illness.
@drucella55812 жыл бұрын
No one has said Wendy is "Crazy". What is being said is that Wendy's actions and words are not representative of her normal behavior. Periodt.

They are really getting on my nerves! Had me typing like I was in the live chat! Mad I missed that! I like Al but Claudia and Q grind my gears. I listen to everything they say and let me tell you, clearly they do not! Just gossiping at this point!

@@drucella5581 The sick and other shade and just unfounded words and diagnoses they throw out are cause for action, at the least to be shut up by a judge if Wendy chose to move that way! It’s uncalled for!

@@drucella5581 your words that you typed (your opinion), I don’t agree with so I should say a bunch of mess or disrespect you? Maybe what you typed or how you feel is not normal to me (we don’t know each other just like they don’t know Wendy) so, would it be my right, based on your knowledge??!

Wow. Claudia explaining the difference between spirituality and religion was a pleasant surprise. She summed it up perfectly. I came for some mindless tea, but actually got some decent conversation. And I really appreciated the way she and Q chose their words with care (has someone been reading the comments?) when discussing trans issues. So many of us are in the same position. We want to be inclusive, are learning as we go, but haven’t got it figured out yet. 🙏🏿

@djidjine50822 жыл бұрын
I agree with Al. We are all humans and fall short of the Glory of God. Expecting our pastor to be squeeky clean is not fair and unrealistic. Also, I used to be like Claudia until someone told me just do your part. Give tithes and offering as the Bible say with an open heart. What the church decides to do with it has nothing to do with you. God sees your heart was in the right place. Remember God judges the heart

Al, you are on 🎯 with your explanation of the pastor's true function. Q came full circle from disagreeing with Al to stating just what Al was saying and Q didn't even realize it.

I respect Al views on the black church. Ppl wanna talk about bullshit in a church but won't miss a Friday night at a a club dealing with worst.
