gotta love how he is performing this song live in NYC. after living, and now moving from NYC, i can say that somedays i miss it. but, often, i felt exactly like he describes in this song when i lived there. but, other days, i would see something that you don't see anywhere else in the world. "only in NYC"

When I saw your comment I thought that you were a songwriter who wrote a song similar to this one - and I thought we had something to share .. Visiting NYC is NOT living there... It's a UNIQUE PLACE that one grows to appreciate, but Manhattan requires a plan for social engagement with Significant Money to value... Have Fond Memories, but if you have a Supportive Network, it could be HEAVEN, many assure! "UNIQUE" is Truly an understatement, and RAY LAMONTAGNE is Such a Gifted Songwriter and Performer, but CAN he courageously Perform THIS "Dark Song" in NYC's historical Ed Sullivan Theatre, perhaps its most #storied Broadcasting Home? VERY Surprised that RAY LAMONTAGNE & THE PARIAH DOGS, his Talented Band did NOT perform one of his Many INCREDIBLE #LoveSongs that seem to Melt Many Women's Hearts... WONDER how the Media responded? Curious... 😮 TRULY... Seems like an unnecessary GAMBLING PR MOVE!

Wait wtf, why did he name the song 'New York CITY's Killing Me' less than a year after Gil Scott Heron came back to the forefront of the music scene with 'New York is Killing Me'? I'm not saying he's doing it to ride any kind of wave, I just think it's a bit of disrespect to simply take the theme another man laid down and change just the perspective of the voice.
