I'm not very familiar with Rust's ecosystem as it is currently, but it looks like AI/ML is currently a bit of a blind spot for Rust. For example, www.arewelearningyet.com/ lists GPU support as "incomplete" but "making progress." I would guess that it's going to take a lot of effort to get first class support for anything other than Python and C++ in the AI world for the next few years.
