I believe that there was was a simulated barn arrangement behind the Ernest Tubb Record Shop where all the young country music stars could go to perform after the Grand Ole Opry performance was finished. They had hay bales and chairs to sit on. All of the girls in their pretty dresses were hoping for opportunities of stardom. Jimmy Day and Billy Byrd were two of the the best musicians. Ernest Tubb, Ray Price and Jim Reeves were three of the greatest country music stars, but there were many more great country music stars that can be seen in other videos including Marty Robbins, Webb Pierce, Faron Young, Kitty Wells, Patsy Cline, Hawkshaw Hawkins, Tommy Collins, Wynn Stewart and others!

Thank you for promoting the music of Jim Reeves on the internet. I have been a Jim Reeves fan all my life. In fact the music of Jim Reeves inspired me, back then, to sing myself. I wrote some songs in the Jim Reeves tradition and recorded them at home. Here's one you will find on KZbin. My Emerald Dream, sung by Hans Sommer, inspired by Jim Reeves Let's keep the music of Jim alive for his voice gives 'peace of mind' and harmony. Isn't that what we need the most?

I have this collection, The Al Gannaway Productions, and before each performance, the singer is introduced.' This was a very good part and should not have been left out; there were some interesting comments made. To me, this is the finest collection ever filmed. First ever in color, and during the hey day of country music; the '50's. I would advise every true country music lover to get this set; but if you don't care for the '50's music, you won't like it.

When you hear this, Jim's "people" told him by the early 60's to get more cosmoplitan and his records had more horns, kinda of like what they did with Patsy Cline. Sadly, they both died w/o hitting the super greatness they could have been. Just my observation.
