I just heard of Ray Dean Reese. I just found him this last year and he is 81 years and sounds great I Love to watch him sing with the group. I am 75 years old so he really loves his Style.

I first got to meet The Kingmen Quartet May 1999 at Renfro Valley, KY. Didn't get to see them again and chat with them until 2007 at the NQC when it was held at Freedom Hall in Louisville, KY.

I love this guy!!! A little trivia. Before the Statler Brothers rose in popularity they also called their group the Kingsmen. When they grew beyond local they obviously had to change their name. :) My dream Kingsmen line up would be: On lead, Big Jim. Bass, Ray Dean Reese of course. Baritone, Parker Jonathan. Tenor, Chris Collins. (That kid was good!!!) Musicians: Gary Dillard on Steel. Tim Surrett on bass. Randy Miller on lead/banjo/harmonica (I don't know if there's anything that guy couldn't do.). Gregg Fox, drums. Anthony Burger, piano. (Of course!) (Edit: Although Tim Lovelace was extremely musically versatile and hilarious.) I have dearly wished for another Kingsgold video. One void that would be hard to fill would be Big Jim directing. The only person that I could think of who would come close to filling that position would be, (Drum roll please.) Maaarrrrk Trammellllllll!!! Okay, I reserve the right to edit this at any point, now or the hereafter. This caused me to go back to some of my favorites and reminded me of just how versatile Gary Dillard was.
