We'll have to give Ray Roberts another try. The last time we were there, it was a bit like Cedar Hill State Park. Close to the city and way too many people looking to go on a short drive, have a campfire and a drinking party. Looks like it was a nice experience for you. Back when Ray Roberts opened, we lived in Denton and camped there a few times. Before it opened, it was fun going out and watching the dam progress.

We were there back in February and had a good experience then too. We stayed at the Johnson branch then though. It was quiet while we were there both times. Sorry you had a bad experience when y'all were there. Maybe we were just lucky. That is a huge dam, I bet it was pretty neat to watch them build it. We'll be trying Cedar Hill State Park next month. Hopefully it will be a good experience. Thank you for watching, I appreciate it!

I can't believe you got that close to those deer. They just didn't seem to pay you any mind. I haven't spent a lot of time at Ray Roberts. Pretty place. really like that trail.

They aren't very skittish that is for sure. It is a really nice park and the walking trails are easy walks. Fairly flat for the most part. I wish you lived a little closer. I have a location I am going to try find tomorrow if it isn't to windy that might interest you. But I'm not sure it would be worth the drive for you. Guess we'll see. All I know is it is supposed to be a haunted location. Thanks for watching.

I didn't post the pic of the huge 14lb bass because I didn't want to reveal the fishing spot.....lol Was fun trying though :-) And yes, it is a very pretty park. We were there back in February but wanted to see it when everything was green. We weren't disappointed. Thank you for watching my friend.
