Been a Ray Wylie fan long as I can remember. He is a true wordsmith and he just keeps rocking.

Dang, that man can play that instrument! Been a follower of Ray for more than 10 years now, and it feels brand new when I hear the first licks on that guitar.

I remember this guy when he used to do benefit performances for KNON radio station in Dallas Texas. He never asked for much but he always poured his heart and soul into his efforts. He is an amazing musician and I am so glad to have seen perform live on a many occasion. "Thanks Ray for the memories and good times."

This song came to mind in the middle of the night last night while I lie crying in the dark thinking of all the men who never made it home or made it back missing parts of their bodies or their minds............the last line of this song says it all.

Mr. Ray this is remarkable. I can feel the tension and the sorrow with every cord. My son buddy Matt went back too many times, lots of scars. Hard times for this generation of solders.

I've just watched this video about ten times in a row! This is unbelievable. That sound is so simple and perfect. I like all of his songs but this is above and beyond any guitar playing ive ever seen. WOW

The lake was originally named Forney Lake for the nearby town of Forney, Texas. After the City of Dallas incorporated the lake, it was renamed after a living person, Ray Hubbard, who presided over the Dallas Parks and Recreation System board from 1943 to 1972.

How can you not like that guitar work and the empathy for that time...oh, you're too young. Enjoy the music anyway. It's classic.

I've been a pacifist since I turned 16 in 69. The draft and my inability to vote at the age of 18 were very real concern to me and a lot of others. The last lines of this song sum up what took Dylan a whole song to say with Master of War. The more I delve into RWH I'm seeing he really could be our next great American poet laureate!!
