Best video I've seen on these yet, thanks for sharing. Picked them up yesterday and really feel like people are sleeping on these as they are pretty impressive! I ended up with the cheapest version, shiny black and g-15 lenses, but really wanted the transition lenses. Finally found the version with transition but really think I'm just going to get some replacement transition lenses so I can swap as I want and save some cash.

Just won a pair - pretty amazing - they also translated whatever I was looking at (English/Italian/Spanish/French/German) - was able to answer a math problem I wrote down - was able to answer a multiple choice question - hear/respond to txt msgs - make/receive calls - listen to all music apps since is basically a BT headset as well - v6 update now allows 3min vids 😎

Thanks for the helpful review! I have been on the verge of throwing the switch on these just for the camera, but as a long-term Echo Frames user I would want to have access to the Alexa Echosystem, so to speak. Arming security, controlling lights, sending text messages... can the Meta glasses act as a transparent audio pipe to the Alexa app with a wake word, or are they carving out separate but overlapping niches? Very excited about having audio interface to GPT, though... the Alexa plug-ins for that have been terrible so far.

Nice review...well done. As an owner of these glasses, my biggest wish list item for the glasses are as follows: 1) Ability to shoot in landscape mode. Hoping this could be done with software update??? 2) Greater than 60 second video without requiring livestreaming; 3) Personally for me, I would like a smaller version of the frame. For those with smaller/narrower faces like myself these can look kind of clownishly large when you have clear lenses as the frames are a bit thicker than normal Rayban frames. Today the frame sizes are Large and X-large. Where is my Medium/Small size? Tip. If you don't plan to purchase prescription lenses and you want to use these glasses for more than sunglasses, I strongly suggest you get the transition lenses. With the transition lenses you can use them indoors or outdoors and with the Transition lenses they are $379. Cheers.

Hi, just some feedback. It’s a good review, and it’s good that you showed spec overlays and you did audio and mic tests along with videos, but one thing that every single reviewer is fumbling over is that gloss over the size. These glasses come in 2 sizes and no one mentions as a heads up, the size they have.

The Rayban integration is top notch. The case is great adaption of the classic rayban case. I thought these would have some AR features. The fact it ties you into Meta only is too bad. Just think what Apple will do in a few years.

I love this glasses and i was thinking to buy a regular pair pf raybans because im going to have my eyes surgery and it's something i always wanted it to have and with this feature even more. Of course my camara canon m50 have 4k video and my phone too but it's not bad quality and for social media is perfect at least to show your everyday or to show something that you like. You can use it on its own without instagram and Facebook. You just need to download the Meta View app to transfer videos from the glasses to your phone, then upload to your laptop 🙂

Nope...one of my main cons too. Such a shame that you can't record in landscape, it's tailored for instagram streaming, so they've only set the recording to 4:3 portrait ratio only, which is annoying 🤦🏻‍♂️

Be aware there is a very bad flaw right now with these. Inside the nose bridge is the mic used for phone calls. This mic for a large amount of people gets covered by your nose, thus preventing you from using them for this purpose. Meta is aware and working on a resolution but unless it's turning on the other mics I don't see how you could fix this.

Great video, you covered most things new user needs. I am tempting to get one and definitely it will be the clear one. Althogh this gadget is great, meta failed to make it work with other apps like twitch and KZbin for streaming. I got questions : Can you use the phone connection directly from your phone without WhatsApp app, Can you use the audio when watching KZbin and other videos, Does the light facing you bother you since it is flashing, and Did you try the meta AI Thank you in advance.

Great questions and glad you liked my video! To answer your questions: - Yes I've used the glasses with my main phone calls, whatsapp is not required. It's optional. - Yes you can playback audio from ANY app. It's a Bluetooth speaker so once connected to Bluetooth, it will play audio from anything on your phone. - Nope, the light doesn't bother me at all that's facing me. You don't notice it much, but even if it does, in the settings, there's an option to reduce the light brightness so you can make it very dim - yep, Meta AI works very well. I've only tried basic commands like asking what the weather is tomorrow or sending a message to someone from my phone and it worked well. Hope that all helps!

I tired to find a way to find rtmp key from IG to stream to IG from my drone, I couldn't find one .But now, hey I can mount meta glass on my drone and I can stream. Yeah my dji mavic air 2 will be rocking ray ban glasses like a pro :) I am for the technology and not for the ray ban glass. If the glass breaks who cares, even it would be better. I bought these with the Polarized lenses, and they are everything you reported. However, my biggest disappointment is the sound quality (sounds more like a transistor radio) and the phone mic performance. When using on a call the other person had a difficult time hearing me. These are definitely more of a luxury item than a necessity. I'm returning mine and exchanging them with the Transitions lenses so I can use them indoors without looking like "that guy" who wears sunglasses indoors. Thx for your video.

Great question. Im not 100% sure if the optometrists will support replacing this lenses only because they have a higher risk of damaging internal circuits/cameras when replacing them, and they might refuse because these are not simple glasses that they can unscrew open to replace. Although for the Meta AI, it works very well. Asking it commands is always responsive.

I've just tested this and can confirm - it works!! I put the glasses in the case, pressed the pairing button on the back of the case for 5-6 secs until the blue light starts flashing on the case (which means its in pairing mode), and then connected to it via my Macbook Bluetooth settings. Then, when I open either Zoom or Teams, I can switch the audio to RayBan Meta (can't use Video from glasses), and did a test recording call and it worked - audio was OK. Hope that helps!

Nope. I think it's quite loud and don't think there's any scenario where I would ever listen to music on full volume with these. Perhaps if I go running outdoors and I'm next to a very busy and loud road, then maybe, but for general use, not really

I found a solution for audio volume being too low. It turns I had set my iPhone's audio setting to clip audio to 85db. I turned off this on my iPhone and can now get fuller (louder) audio on my Rayban Meta's. On your iPhone, go to: Settings/Sound & Haptics/Headphone Safety/Reduce Loud Audio (and ensure it's set to off). Or, if you turn on "Reduce Loud Audio", you can then set the decibel level you want to set it to.

Well, here comes the rub wore them today to the Indian Wells tennis tournament within two minutes temperature too hot to use video. How about that I could take photos but I couldn't take video during the peak hours of between 11 and 2 PM.
