I've been where you are. The bible says once you know Jesus he will never leave you. There were times I gave up on God for various reasons but as it turns out he never gave up on me. I've had several times in my life where he showed up in huge miraculous ways that nothing else would explain. It would take to long to explain but God knew my need and I got that door to open and also doors shut when it was absolutely needed or I would not be here writing this. Take your time and work things out within yourself..try to love yourself as you love others..somehow I feel you have great love for others but find it hard to love yourself...this is satan trying to cause you to harm yourself and seperate from the one thing he knows will heal you... just know God walks with you and loves you no matter what you've done. Sometimes you have to forgive yourself, If you've asked..God has already forgiven you...agree with him and move on with your life before you look back and realize you've borrowed trouble for most of your life. Stop planning how you can be happy tomorrow and find things to be happy about today..and the unconditional love of Christ is something very worthy of being happy about each and everyday. God Bless. I pray the Lord send me out to do His work..here I am Lord! I drove pretty far out of town and I remembered I needed a specific kind of rice. In the store, I am drawn to this employee stocking the shelves and I begin witnessing and we had a great conversation about Jesus. Well, when we were done, I was standing right in front of the rice I came for! The Lord set me up. He knows ALL.

We should not be discouraged to get to do the work again and again provided we have not been killed, relying on the power of the Holy Spirit. We have eternal life IF we continue to strive to obey Him in all ways. He said that if our eye causes us to sin, it would be better to pluck it out than enter Hell with two eyes. That's how serious we need to be about ridding ourselves of sin. But many will strive until it gets too hard or they have to give up something that they don't want to give up. I suspect that many will fall away when the Mark of the Beast arrives because they will not want to be martyred (beheaded) or starve to death by obeying God's command to refuse the mark which will be required for buying and selling. Several teachers are already telling the sheep that it's okay to take it as long as not overtly worshiping the beast. People love ear tickling teachers who don't give the facts.

Often believers have arguments they find convincing, but they're all illogical (and so they _shouldn't_ be convincing). For example with the Cosmological Argument tries to use causality (things needing causes) to say a god is needed to start the "chain of causation" way back at the very beginning of everything. However either (A) everything or (B) not everything has a cause. If A, an uncaused god is impossible. If B, uncaused things would be possible (meaning the argument no longer has a reason to say any given thing needs a cause). So then the argument has no reason for saying a god must exist. Does that make sense?

We are so used to bickering on the internet that we forget a lot of people are capable of having a debate or discussion and remain respectful. If I personally reach a point in a debate where there is no more common ground and just haven’t realized I could end the conversation there, I would probably do the same as these kids and I would just respectfully listen and hear what he had to say and then say thanks and be on my way. I’ve been watching Ray and Living Waters videos with hunger and has GREATLY prepared me for sharing God’s love for people. I don’t have Ray’s Bible knowledge, but have read it a few times. I no longer have significant fear, only minor hesitation at times, God forgive me. Time is SHORT. This is why we must hear God’s command and be reminded of Jesus’ words-the harvest is great and the workers are few. I feel the urgency and pray that other believers STEP UP to share in their own unique way. Where I have been for a really long time is knowing I can't make it without hope and without knowing somebody really loves me. My children care a lot about me but they have their own lives. I can't wait to finally not ever experience anxiety, fear, shame, etc. Ever again. Not enough money, no more confusion, etc. I can't wait to be at peace forever in my mind. I have had depression and anxiety struggles most of my life. I have been walking with God a long time and I want to see my mom and grandmother and feel understood forever. I dont wish to be offensive like the commenter above, but I saw an Easter-themed meme once that whilst offensive, said Jesus only gave up his weekend, and it did make me think. Surely the ultimate sacrifice would be dying never to come back, and people could still believe in him, but he only died temporararily. I must admit this is something that bothers me. Any Christians shed light on this please? Plus the fact that God could literally choose to do anything, it all seems kind of unnecessary. If He really loves us so much, why not just forgive us anyway like we do with our own children? We shouldn't be more moral or just than God, but it certainly seems we are 🤔

I am always amazed at how Ray shares the Gospel with young adults who already know everything! I guess that's why they are in college - to learn how much they don't know! These folks also enjoy their pleasures too much. But until they hit a wall and become desolate and lonely, they probably won't know how to feel remorseful for their "sin." They enjoy it too much, as they've just learned to actually think! "A wo/man with no purpose distracts him/herself with pleasure." These kids look at you with a "huh"? Thanks for sharing!

We plant the seeds, the Lord grows. I am 41 years old so I myself have just recently entered "middle age status", I was blessed with a youthful appearance so to many people I look like a 20s something guy, even with facial hair. In my experience older adults say 60s on up will sometimes overstep personal boundaries and I will experience maternal instincts or fatherly instincts from people who aren't my parents and don't know me or know don't know me well outside of work or church. I have found that while older adults may have more life experience, sometimes younger people are more graceful toward others and slower to judge than elderly adults. Furthermore, a saved 22 year old man who can't well debate his anti-abortion disposition well is much wiser than an elderly pro-choice woman in at least one regard, he Knows Jesus.

I absolutely love you Ray! I'm a grad student studying Christian Apologetics, and I just found your page yesterday. Reading and studying these approaches/arguments do not do them justice, but seeing you apply many of these in your evangelical discussions with people has helped me understand and further appreciate these arguments. I also admire how you manage to remain calm, your patients, and your sincerity. Arguably my favorite thing is when you say not to feel pressured by you, rather be sincere with God. This is an under appreciated and oftentimes ignored aspect of evangelism, which hinders the effectiveness of the conversation. The Lord Jesus Christ tells us in John 6:44, "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him..." We, as Christians cannot save others, but we can and should point/lead the unsaved to the One that does the saving.

My Father died 2 years ago and was not saved (unless God did a miracle before the heart attack) and I'm tired of people assuming he's in heaven because he was a "good" person. Though I love Ray and these videos he does, this is a neverending source of frustration for me. He establishes a comfort (😁) zone with them, invests time and effort, the Holy Ghost is moving on them, their hearts are opening, some for the first time to Jesus, and these people are sent off with a book, and a prayer that basically asks God to do in them what has already been done at that moment. And these people could have come to salvation right then and there, except for Ray's insistence we should not lead people to Jesus in prayer, and doesn't believe in following up on new converts... it's really a shame.

All you have to do is ask if they would like follow- up. ask if they would like to pray right now. Hmmm. With all of his ability to do this to this point. I have never once tried to talk about God for a prolonged number of minutes. Just brief talks here and there. I always wish I had such boldness. I almost used to when I was much younger. I feel as if I barely do anything for God now. My spirit is very tired of trying to help people. At least my children are walking with God now.

It never ceases to amaze me, approaching a complete stranger on their time, or to their house, to discuss the most controversial subject on Earth! Yet and unreal percentage of them are willing to listen sincerely, where there is good exchange, and even sometimes that they'll receive Jesus in prayer right there. It's really incredible! And you're right, Ray has a tremendous gift to evangelize and lead people to God, but he's not willing to close the deal.

@@johnboehmer6683 I understand how you feel. Let me say that I thought the same way you do for many years, but then I went on a couple of mission trips to Peru. We grouped up in teams of 5 or 6 and did street witnessing: presenting the gospel and then pushing them for raising of hands and praying the sinner's prayer. Then we did the same with them for healing. At the end of each day the ministry leaders tallied up numbers of people saved, and numbers healed. It bothered me greatly to realize that they were counting people like scalps, the higher the number the better, so they could tout the numbers for fundraising and feeling good... but that *we could not possibly know* the condition of each person's heart. How many raised their hands and recited the prayer, but didn't really mean it or really trust in Christ? Yet *we assured them that they were now definitely born-again and saved! How many insincere prayer-reciters left believing they'd been saved by reciting a prayer, but weren't? I learned something really important: only God saves people, and saving grace is granted to people who have true faith, *not* to everyone who recites a prayer. Ray knows that also. He plants the seeds, the Holy Spirit waters the seeds, and the person either comes to faith at some time or he does not. Ray can't "get someone saved," only God can do that, and it's not right to badger someone into "pray after me" in words we supply. As for follow-up, though, I agree that it would be great if Ray's ministry had a way to do that. He'd have to get each person's address, and frankly in this present society asking for an address is considered pretty intrusive. Giving them a card with an address of a good nearby church would be nice, however I'm sure Ray doesn't want to be perceived as partisan (which church gets referrals and which ones don't?), because that could cause a lot of bad feelings and negativity toward his ministry in all the other churches that don't get referrals. I suspect Ray would have a follow-up program in place *if he thought it was feasible* to do so.

If in fact the "scalp counters" were doing so only for "fundraising and feeling good", then I completely agree with you. However, it is obviously (in general terms) right to want as many people to make Heaven their home as possible, to see God give miraculous healings to as many as possible, right? So if the motive was right, being happy about a lot of people being touched would not be bad at all. Again, 100% true we cannot know the condition of each person's heart we pray with, and for. When I pray with somebody, I always make sure to stress to them that if they absolutely meant the words they just spoke, and are now willing to follow through with their decision for Jesus, that they indeed have just changed their final destination from hell to Heaven. So even if they just recited the prayer insincerely, for whatever reason, they walk away still knowing two things they did not before. 1) that sincerity of heart is crucial to salvation, 2) a spoken word profession is also, as Romans 10:9 and 10 confirm, part of the process...and, they know the general idea of what salvation truly is from having said that prayer already. So if and when they ever come around to a place of being sincere of heart to receive Jesus, they know the general idea of how to approach him. As stated above, it's really good to move when God (the Holy Ghost) is moving, and encourage this person to follow through in such an environment they may never be in again. You may be the last Christian that ever approaches them, the last physical interaction with his truth they will receive. It's big. Agreement again, we cannot save them. But this does not mean we should not do everything we ought to do, everything possible in the Great commission God has called us to. It's pretty easy to tell when someone is truly open, compared to just giving lip service. When I pray with someone, or even talk to someone who's open, I'll get a phone number from them at least, and we always do that with people who pray in our church. All they can say is no to the request, you know? I've followed up on some who gave false information, but that's very rare. I would hope Ray has a church he goes to, no one would get mad at him for being partisan if he invited them to his church, where he could help them directly in discipleship. Hopefully that's something he does off-camera with those who are open. It's very refreshing to see someone who genuinely cares about this most important part of our walk with Jesus, thank you!
