RAYE's story is quite a story to tell. She spent years locked in to a contract where the Music Company refused to let her sing her own stuff and basically had her writing for other, bigger artists. She suffered sexual assault by a Producer in the business and when her contract ended she went Independent. Her music blew up and this year she won SIX BRIT Awards out of seven she was nominated for, breaking the record for most wins by an artist in one night and STILL as an Independent artist.
