I have done many a crab boil but I followed your instructions yesterday. My son came home from Bahrain on leave from the Navy and I wanted to make him something special. He loves seafood so we decided to have a boil. I cooked everything in the order that you did and made your “Hallelujah sauce” with almost every ingredient that you used except I didn’t have reg paprika, I had smoked & I only had original old bay not the “hot”. As a blessing from above, I happened to have the same type of crab paste that you used-ON HAND!! Just a week ago, I made a crab fried rice and the recipe I was using called for “crab paste with soybean oil” & I had picked it up from my local Asian market so meant to be. When I type this next sentence, I mean it with my whole heart. It was THE BEST sauce I’ve ever had with a crab boil. We had to feed 11 people so I tripled the sauce ingredients. My grandmother, who is Samoan, and has eaten crab & shrimp for most of her life, also told me it was the best sauce she ever had. I am beyond thankful for your video and recipe! We will make your sauce every time from here on out🤩

Nice! I’m going to try your crab sauce with my crab boil. I like to cut my potatoes however if they come out mushy, you cooked them too long. I stagger the cooking of the different ingredients until everything has reached the pot. I usually turn off the heat and then throw the seafood in and just let it sit until it cooks. Then pull it everything and pour the sauce.
