Man feels good to be playing this level again. Just got a personal record of time 8:26.75, 167 lives, 4388 tings, all collectibles including colored tings (except for the Easter Egg in Stage 2 that you have to go out of your way to find), no deaths. Felt proud of that one.

This is probably the best level on rayman redesigner. 7:47 the Mr darktoon part is by far my favorite part!

Damn, I just played this level and holy shit what a rush! This was a blast to play! I actually managed to find all the collectibles, but I couldn’t open the four doors at the end of the last segment because I got caught trapped by the wall of insta death spikes during the super heli section that I didn’t know existed, rip

I’m glad it gave you some good times! :) Ah, yes, that wall definitely wasn’t one of my best ideas when designing this level, especially when there’s already the Antitoons to avoid… Sorry about that! Even then, congrats for making it this far! I didn’t remove the wall in the new easier version (the Casual Mix), though I’ve added some space between the spikes and converted some of them to regular ones to make it less dangerous and give a possibility to avoid an instant death. So, if you intend to replay the level some day, this new version should give you a better time.

Okay, I kinda need a bit of help, and it's kinda spoilery so.... How do I get the last 8 purple tings underneath the platforms to the right of the giant cluster of instadeath spikes? I legit have no clue how to reach them and I've searched everywhere.

If you mean the purple Tings in the Magician’s bonus section, you have to go through the very tight gaps between the two platforms above to get below. It’s quite tricky to do, but it’s definitely possible with some slow and precise moves. Yeah, I really made it hard to get them all on purpose. :3

*A Rayman Designer version. Rayman did Mario Maker before it was even a thing. ;) To be fair, it would have made no sense to see them as power-ups in Redemption as it was a faithful remake of Rayman 1, so they were only skins. Now they can finally be used like in Rayman 3! There's even a new purple combat fatigue with super jumps!

Hello, I was playing through Rock 'n' Run again (the original, harder version) and I noticed a rather serious problem with the level in the latest version. In the last stage, the boiling tar (ink + lava) now continues to rise even when you reach the first checkpoint. I tested this twice in a row just to make sure, and both times when I reached the checkpoint (just after the green tings) the tar caught up to me (giving me no time to react) and I instantly died. For people who want to try and get all 4 keys in the last part of the level (which I assume requires a perfect run), this is honestly gamebreaking since it makes a "perfect" run of the last section effectively impossible. I didn't have this problem in earlier versions so I'm wondering if this is something that happened because of 1.0.2. I didn't want to bother you about minor issues, but I think this is enough of a major one for me to talk to you about.

Hi! Sorry for the late response! Thank you very much for reporting the issue! I noticed the problem as well while testing some parts of my next level. It seems some water stoppers don’t work any more as intended when placed in some spots. This indeed broke most of Rock’n’Run’s Section 4, and even if the issue wouldn’t be there, now Moskito doesn’t stop chasing Rayman, thus making it impossible to cut the rope later on. I’m currently working on an update for both the original level and the Casual Mix. It will fix the issues and add many minor changes based on the criticism I received and on the latest updates’ new contents and bug fixes. It only needs a bit more testing and it should be released very soon. Sorry for all the problems!

Most of it seems to be fine, but I did come across this error that crashed the game when I picked up the Master Key at the end of the final segment. ___________________________________________ ############################################################################################ ERROR in action number 1 of Step Event0 for object oToyKey: Unable to find any instance for object index '-1' name ''############################################################################################ gml_Object_oToyKey_Step_0 (line 37) I have no clue what this means or what caused it, but just letting you know. The main issue I was worried about, namely the tar/blood/whatever-the-fuck rising uncontrollably, seems to be gone though.

​@@mouthofsauron328 Ah, dammit… I found out about the issue during the testing and I moved some items slightly until it left … but apparently it’s still there for some reason. I even tested the final room dozens of times to make sure the crash was gone for good… I sent a bug report to Ryemanni with a screenshot of the crash log I got, so hopefully he’s gonna fix this in the next update. I don’t even know what’s the exact cause of this glitch either and I got no response so far from Ryemanni. Sadly, I don’t know if I can find a way around this bug without completely changing the end of the level and maybe even most of the reward system. I already tried many different setups for doors and keys and it kept crashing until I reverted to something very close to the original positions. I’ll see if I can do something, but I can’t promise anything as it’s more an issue from the game itself. The best I can suggest in the meanwhile is to pick up the final rewards and to open the doors slowly as it seems to make the crash less likely to happen. At least, the liquids shouldn’t become a problem ever again considering how many water stoppers I’ve added. ^^ Thanks again for the report and sorry for all the troubles!

how many hours it take you to make one level

It depends on the scale of your level. It can take less than an hour to do something basic, but taking a few extra hours can make it far more polished and elaborate. However, doing something on the scale of levels from the original Rayman or Redemption can take multiple days. This is what happened to me with Rock’n’Run even though the level isn’t as well designed, but since I was still inexperienced with the editor and I had to make the level huge to compensate for the high speed, it took a lot of time anyway. With my current experience, I could probably do it in half the time.

That’s pretty much how I designed the last section, while everything else was mostly intended as a combination of the series’ DNA (like the first level being essentially Allegro Presto on steroids, the Rayman 3 power-ups, the music stages from Legends...).

It’s a common issue with Rayman Redistributor when the download is only a single file. Just right click on the download button and select "Save link/target as".
