On the Axiom XL you showed, where is the transducer connection?
@Raymarine
@Raymarine Жыл бұрын
Axiom XL screens do not have built-in sonar, so there is no transducer connection on them. Instead, they will be networked to an external sonar module (RVX-1000, CP470, CP570, etc.) or networked to another Axiom display that has built-in sonar (Axiom+RV, Axiom Pro RVX, etc.) Axiom XL screens have lots of other multimedia connections on them in place of the transducer connection. These include HDMI input and output and touchscreen input and output. They allow you to remote control other touch-capabile devices, or, remote control Axiom XL somewhere else on the boat with an HDMI touch monitor.

Hello...when connecting the Axiom 7 (or+7) into the SeaTalkng network, do you use the blue backbone bable or the white spur cable?
@Raymarine
@Raymarine 3 жыл бұрын
Hi David. The white spur cable is always used to connect a device to the backbone. The backbone cables (blue) only connect to other blue backbone connections. Axiom's power cable has a NMEA2000 DeviceNet connector on the cable. If you are running to a STNG network you will need to adapt it using part number A06045 (400mm long) or A06075 (1 meter long) to make that connection.

If we are using the Axiom 7RV plus as chartplotter only would it draw more power than the Axiom 7 plus MFD only, i.e. do additional onboard electronics on RV model draw more power if no transducers are plugged in?
@Raymarine
@Raymarine Жыл бұрын
Without transducers disconnected, the power draw for the RV vs. Chartplotter versions is nearly the same. The internal sonar will switch to "no ping" mode so it won't try to transmit anything. For reference, the Axiom+ 9 Chartplotter version draws 8.95 Watts, where the RealVision model draws 11.98 Watts. That is with the display at full brightness, sonar transmitting (RV), Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled.

Does the 1kw transducer on the Pro RVX have to be a chirp transducer or can it be to a 1kw 50/200?
@Raymarine
@Raymarine 2 жыл бұрын
Hello Richie. You can use a non-CHIRP transducer on it if you'd like. You will need a transducer adapter pigtail to make the connection as the pin-out of the non-CHIRP transducers is different. The non-CHIRP transducers have an 8-pin connector. Axiom Pro RVX has an 11-pin CHIRP connector. The adapter part number is A80496.

Hi Jim, I have been using multiple axioms in my setup for many years and have had a major irritation for a long time - when I navigate a route, while tracking (which we do for many hours), to advance a waypoint will need three pushes of a button. Restarting XTE will also take three clicks from the main map view. Would it not be possible to either define one or more hot keys, similar to selectable data or move these two functions at least to the first screen after pressing the three stripes, or even to the main (map) screen? This problem is worsened because the axioms do not find their position within a route (as competitors do), but after selecting a new route, it always starts at the beginning, necessitating one or more “advance waypoint” presses. Is there an address where I can discuss these issues? Kind regards, David Zimmerman
@Raymarine
@Raymarine Ай бұрын
Hello David. When you pull up a route onto Axiom's chart display, but before engaging it in navigation, you can long-press on either the waypoint you want to begin navigation from, or the leg you want to start at, and then select FOLLOW ROUTE from the menu that pops up. It will then ask if you want to start from the beginning, or from that leg/waypoint specifically. That will bypass any of the prior waypoints in the sequence, and prevent you from needing to make multiple presses of the "Advance Waypoint" function. I will put in a product suggestion to our MFD software team asking them to look at making the Advance Waypoint and Restart XTE buttons more accessible. I do understand its a commonly used function, and minimizing the number of presses or touches to get to them would be highly desirable. For example, on Axiom Pro, Axiom 2 Pro and RMK-10 systems there are user-programmable buttons. Currently "Advance Waypoint" is not one of the selections that can be assigned to it. Restart XTE is an option for that button. Feel free to drop me an email if you wish to discuss this in more detail. james.mcgowan@raymarine.com comes directly to me.

Hello Shungo. Thank you for watching! You are in luck in that everything on your list will work with Axiom. The RD418HD radar is still compatible and will connect to Axiom through the Raynet high speed Ethernet network. Your ST60+ instruments and wheel pilot can communicate with Axiom too. You will need to add our E22158 SeaTalk to SeaTalk NG converter kit to your network. This small devices bridges the older-generation SeaTalk 1 information to the newer SeaTalk Next Generation (NG) network used by Axiom. Your AIS650 AIS receiver will also plug directly into the SeaTalk NG network, into one of the white spur connections.

Another great video, thanks! I bought the axiom9+ RV version, but have a sail boat, so the rv100 is of no use. Is there an adapter cable so that I can install a 600w inhull reservoir transducer? And if I have a wifi q2 radar and want to add a video connection, do I still need the HS5? Many thanks
@Raymarine
@Raymarine 2 жыл бұрын
Hello Ralph. You can use adapter part number A80489, which is an Axiom RV 25-pin to CP370/Airmar 7-pin transducer adapter cable. Use that with transducer E66008, which is an Airmar P79 adjustable in-hull transducer. Its a 600-watt, dual frequency (50/200kHz) reservoir style transducer. That adapter cable shuts off the Downvision, Sidevision, 3D and CHIRP and activates the Axiom RV's secondary 600-watt digital sonar. The Quantum 2 radar could be connected using Wi-Fi to your Axiom+ screen, leaving the RayNet ethernet port on the back of Axiom open for a camera connection. If you wanted to plug in the radar and the camera you would need the HS5.

Hello. First off, I love the webinars. Great info. So I’m redoing all the electronics on my 1996 Luhrs 32 convertible. Slowly as budgets allow. I have Axiom pro 16, cam 210 w/AR200, Rockford stereo etc. I am wanting to add a ACU-150. I don’t need a pump, but do I need the EV-1 or does the AR-200 take place like it does with GPS?
@Raymarine
@Raymarine 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Matt. Thanks for watching and for choosing Raymarine for your refit! You will need the EV1 sensor in your autopilot system. Though they look similar on the outside, and offer some similar capabilities, the EV1 and AR200 have different functions. On any Evolution autopilot the EV1 (or EV2 on some models) is not only the compass sensor but also the brain of the entire pilot. It is the device that is actually doing all of the monitoring of boat motion, and sending commands to the drive unit to turn the boats rudders or drives. The AR200 sensor doesn't have the autopilot brains inside, so can't be used in place of the EV1/EV2.

Hi Andy. Your Axiom is likely one of the Axiom "chartplotter" models I mentioned in the broadcast. It does not have the built-in sonar so the transducer port is capped off. You can add sonar capability to your system using an external sounder module though and networking it via RayNet fast Ethernet. I'm looking to upgrade from E90-W. My current Raydar VCM100, Smart Pilot X-Can, and DSM 300 seem to all use SEATALK HS. So do you agree I would be able to use the existing components on a new Axiom product?
@Raymarine
@Raymarine 3 жыл бұрын
Hello Bill. Everything you mention here is compatible with Axiom aside from your DSM300 sonar module. That sonar unfortunately doesn't work with Axiom. Its transducers however, can be connected to an Axiom Pro RVX, or a CP370 sonar module. VCM-100 is part of your open-array radar, which is Axiom compatible. The Autopilot system can communicate with Axiom using SeaTalk NG networking. SeaTalk HS is equivalent to what we now call RayNet. Both are high-speed Ethernet. We improved the waterproofness of the cable connectors between product generations, but the underlying network technology is the same. We offer adapters that will allow you to use the existing SeaTalk HS cables run through your boat and connect them to the RayNet sockets on new generation products.

Hi Donovan. Raymarine doesn't currently offer a forward-scanning sonar. There are some products on the market that offer forward-looking sonar with video output that can be connected to Axiom Pro or Axiom XL's analog video input. EchoPilot is one example. We've had feedback from many customers who have gone this route and seem to like it.

I have a Raytheon 650 autopilot that uses the NMEA0183 to my MFD E120. The Axiom Pro has the NMEA0183 connection on the back, but the Axiom Plus does not. Does that mean that the Autopilot would better with the Pro? I would prefer the Plus. However, will any of the Axiom units take all the data like sonar from my SeaTalk and NMEA0183? I like to keep the E120 and make it work with the Axiom, would this work? What else do you recommend to make it all work with my system?
@Raymarine
@Raymarine 2 жыл бұрын
Hello Louie. Only the Axiom Pro has support for NMEA0183. That format is quickly disappearing from modern electronics, and being replaced with NMEA2000. There are 2 ways you could do this: 1. Connect the NMEA0183 input and output of the RayPilot 650 to the NMEA0183 input and output of the Axiom Pro. This would give you basic connectivity so Axiom can send data to the pilot for steering. Axiom would get back heading information from the autopilot. 2. Add a SeaTalk to SeaTalk NG converter (E2158) to your RayPilot network, and connect the converter into a SeaTalk NG network with both of your Axiom displays and any other new accessories you have. This would be the preferred way of doing it. This device does the necessary translation between the older Seatalk 1 format the RayPilot speaks and the newer SeaTalk NG/NMEA2000 format used by Axiom. Your old E120 display also has a SeaTalk 1 connection. It would also be able to communicate through the interface. Any SeaTalk data available on that network would be available to Axiom, and vice-versa. I will offer some realistic caution here though. The Raypilot650 and the E120 are both very, very old now. When you combine together very old and very new systems like this, even using converters and such, there are often trade-offs when it comes to functionality. Not knowing exactly what you have now, and how it is wired, it is very difficult to predict exactly what level of smooth, seamless integration you will achieve. There may be advantages to just connecting the Raypilot system to Axiom through the converter, but leaving the E120 isolated on its own, or even not integrating any of it and keeping the older gear as-is, with Axiom running separately. I strongly suggest chatting with a local electronics installer, or giving our support team a call to talk it through in detail.

Hi Joe. I would double-check that Axiom is getting the proper voltage at the end of its power cable. Unplug and check across the 2 largest sockets on the power cable to make sure you are getting 12-volts to the end of the cable. Normally that LED is red when the unit is turned off, and white when it is on. If the power looks good and it still won't turn on, there is a system reboot you could also try: 1. Switch off power at the breaker to ensure that the MFD is completely powered off, and not in Standby mode. Alternatively, remove the power cable from the display. 2. Power on your MFD, and within approximately 10 seconds, swipe your finger from right to left (opposite direction to powering on) across the Power button swipe area 5 times. Recovery options are displayed. 3. Swipe your finger from right to left twice to highlight Wipe data/factory reset. 4. Swipe your finger from left to right once to accept. 5. Swipe your finger from right to left once to highlight Yes. 6. Swipe your finger from left to right once to restore your MFD to factory default settings. 7. When Data wipe complete is displayed, swipe your finger from left to right to restart your MFD. If you need help with this, or if it is unsuccessful, please get it touch with our support team at raymarine.custhelp.com or give us a call at 1-800-539-5539.

On the chart plotter, the symbol of my boat shows up rotated 180 degrees from what it actually is. This is frustrating as I like the head-up display...so obviously my chart is then upside down; and it basically shows my boat going in reverse. I have searched through all of the settings and can't find a way to change this. Any insight you could give would be much appreciated! Thanks!

@Raymarine 3 жыл бұрын
Hello Joe. It sounds like you have an autopilot or electronic compass attached to the system that needs calibrating. The boat icon moves across the chart by GPS, but if a compass is present, that is used to orient it to the heading being reported. If you take a look at your autopilot controller, or open the Heading databox and compare it to the boat's Course Over Ground while moving, I think you'll find a big disparity between the values.

@Raymarine 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Ed. If you have an Axiom RV or Axiom+ RV model you can use part number A80491 to attach both your RV100 and the B60 to your display. That part is a Y-Cable. It plugs into the 25-pin transducer port on Axiom RV or Axiom+ RV and gives you dual transducer connections. There is a 25-pin socket for the RV100, plus a 7-pin socket that fits your B60 transducer. With this connector in-place, the high CHIRP Sonar channel on your Axiom RV is disabled, and replaced by the 50 kHz and 200 kHz digital channels from the B60 transducer. You didn't mention specifically which Axiom-series product you have, so let me warn you (and anyone else reading this) that this particular Y-Cable and split-transducer setup only works with Axiom RV and Axiom + RV models. It does not work with Axiom Pro RVX or the RVX-1000 sounder module.

Hi Adam. With Axiom XL only, you have an advantage because that screen has both a micro USB accessory port (for the card reader or drone) as well as a full-sized USB Type-A port normally used for the Axiom XL's touchscreen pass-through features. In this case use the microUSB port for the connection to your drone's controller, and use a regular USB SD or microSD card reader plugged into the USB-A port to access your charts.

Any size in the range will work. 32 GB and 64 GB are readily available, fairly inexpensive and work well for most applications. The largest card you can use in an Axiom is a MicroSDXC card with 2 Terrabytes (TB) of storage, formatted in exFAT format. We recommend that any card you use in Axiom be rated at Class 10 or Ultra High Speed class, or better. @Raymarine 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Boyd. CZone is a great way to control all of the electrical loads onboard your boat. You'd need to start the process with the CZone team who can best advise you which modules you'd need for your setup. Once the CZone system is up and running its fairly easy to control it on Axiom. We support C-Zone plug-and-play which can auto-populate Axiom with basic touch-controlled switches based on the profile built into the C-Zone modules. Getting engine data from BRP/Rotax motors is possible, though it requires some 3rd party hardware to re-format some of the data. Rotax uses a proprietary engine data bus language called BRP CAN. Yacht Devices is a 3rd party manufacturer of interfacing gear that offers a BRP CAN to NMEA2000 gateway. You can find out more about it here: www.yachtd.com/news/bombardier_brp_rotax_1504_4tec.html Once the BRP CAN data is converted, Axiom can read it as standard NMEA2000 engine data.

@Raymarine 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Steve. I'm sorry to hear about the trouble. I think you have 2 different issues going on. The rotary knob on the Axiom Pro should be looked at by your local dealer or our repair center. I suspect something has gone awry inside of it with the encoder that detects the rotation of the knob. Being so new that should be an in-warranty repair. If you need assistance contacting our repair center please shoot me an email. james.mcgowan@raymarine.com. The Doppler mode not working on your Quantum 2 radar is not an error I have heard of before. Please check these items: 1. Doppler mode won't work unless the Axiom has a GPS position fix as the Doppler processor in the radar must know the boats Course Over Ground (COG) and Speed Over Ground (SOG) which come from the GPS. Please confirm that you have a valid GPS fix. 2. Though not required, it is highly recommended to have a source of compass heading feeding the system. This could be from a connected autopilot system, from a heading sensor or electronics compass (our EV1 heading sensor) or from our AR200 Augmented Reality sensor. The heading source is recommended because GPS cannot provide an accurate Course Over Ground signal when the boat is stationary or at very slow speeds. If you don't have a heading sensor of some kind connected, do try enabling Doppler mode once the boat is moving as the GPS COG should kick in to allow it. Doppler Mode is switched on or off in the radar's main menu. WIth the radar app open touch Menu....Doppler and make sure it is switched on. Quantum 2 offers a non-Doppler mode too. You might also want to check which color palette you have selected as there are several different options available, and some of them look a bit different from the standard on. Menu...Settings...Presentation....and on there you'll see your color palette choices. Doppler Grey is the default selection, but there are also Doppler Blue and Doppler Yellow options. The Doppler Yellow, in particular, might make it appear like the radar is not in Doppler mode as the contrast between the colors (yellow for stationary items, red or green for moving) is not quite as great as the other selections.

How do I connect to the new Yamaha helm master ex autopilot to raymarine axiom xl
@Raymarine
@Raymarine 3 жыл бұрын
Hello Richard. Helm Master EX integration with Axiom XL uses a special Multifunction Display Interface kit (MFDI) and NMEA2000 gateway to make its connection to Axiom XL. Both of these are Yamaha parts, available from your local Yamaha dealer. The MFDI kit is part number 6YM-8A201-00 and the gateway is part number 6YG-8A2D0-11. Both of these devices connect to the Yamaha Command Link network, then the gateway connects to the boat's NMEA2000/SeaTalk NG network. The MFDI connect via HDMI to Axiom XL's input. @Raymarine 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! The Quantum 2 Doppler Radar is fully compatible with your Axiom. Run the network cable from the scanner to the network port on your Axiom. Connect the radar's power cable to your power source and you're done. No other devices are needed to make it work. Something to consider for the future, but not required, is to add a heading sensor to your system. If you have an autopilot now you have this covered already. Othewise, you could add a pilot, or just the compass sensor itself. Giving the radar a heading signal from the compass will improve the accuracy of its collision avoidance tools (MARPA and ARPA) and will enable a mode called Stabilized PPI that allows the radar scope to rotate freely as the boat changes heading. Adding the heading sensor also allows you to use Doppler mode when the boat is stationary.

I added two new transducers and in the interim I had to replace my batteries right after the install so my displays were never turned on because of dead batteries. When I replaced the batteries my axiom did not read the new transducers. I also need to do a software upgrade so when I do the upgrade will the system find and read the new transducers? If not what do I need to do to get them to connect to new transducers?
@Raymarine
@Raymarine 3 жыл бұрын
Axiom should read the new transducers, with or without the software upgrade. What transducers did you add, and are they connected directly to Axiom, or are they connected to a sonar module like CP370, 470, 570, etc? Do make sure that module is powered on if that is the case. I would proceed with the update, and see if they are detected afterwards. If they are not, I suggest backing up your waypoints and routes then doing a factory reset on Axiom. Let it boot up and then hopefully detect the new transducers. You can then restore your settings and data.

Would my Mainship 34T, which has a canvas-enclosed bridge, need a remote GPS antenna? My current double E80's use an antenna outside the canvas envelope.
@Raymarine
@Raymarine 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Ross. I would consider adding the external antenna on your setup just to be certain you are getting the best signal possible. In most cases the internal GPS antennas would be fine on a boat with a canvas top, but it sounds like your scenario takes it a step further, with full enclosure. GPS receivers have become much more sensitive since the E80 units were made, but at the same time the full enclosure is going to make signal acquisition more challenging. If the canvas is wet, that would take it 1 step farther. There are several ways you could add the external sensor that won't add much cost, and could add more capability too. For example our AR200 Augmented Reality Sensor Module has both a GPS and precision compass inside. It would give you both feeds to Axiom, plus you could add Augmented Reality cameras later if you wanted. With an enclosed bridge they would help with blind spots too. Feel free to snap a few photos of your helm and bridge and I would be happy to comment further. james.f.mcgowan@raymarine.com is my email.

Hello Ashish. Yes, sir. Axiom Pro has an NMEA0183 input and it can be configured for AIS reception. The NMEA input and output lines are part of its power cable bundle. In the MFD's settings you'll want to configure the NMEA port to run at 38,400 baud, which is normally the standard for AIS. You'll see it in there.

I am adding a Quantum 2 radar with an Axiom + MFD to my boat. For Doppler and MARPA functions, I understand that I need a fast heading sensor. I am not planning to upgrade the ST 6002 Autopilot and as such I wonder if the AR200 rather than the EV1 would be suitable? You mention that there is a separate GPS in the AR200 that can be used as a supplement to the integrated GPS of the Axiom. Does this apply to the EV1 heading sensor as well? Does the RV version of the Axiom + have any forward looking sonar capability?
@Raymarine
@Raymarine 3 жыл бұрын
Hello Ian. Yes, the AR200 is a good choice to provide the fast heading output recommended for doppler radar and MARPA. The fast heading sensor also will give you access to the stabilized radar PPI on Axiom. Plus, if you choose to add a CAM210 or CAM220 IP camera at any point, you could take advantage of Axiom's Augmented Reality capability too.

Hello, I have an Axiom Pro 9 and a GS150 External Antenna. I am having trouble locating it on my display. I only see the Internal GPS. Antenna is mounted on a Radar Arch inside of a "dummy" KVH satellite antenna case. Could this be causing the signal to be non-existent? My previous GPS on my older Ray RL70 system worked fine inside the case. Which is why I mounted it there. Thanks
@Raymarine
@Raymarine 3 жыл бұрын
Hello Eddie. The GS150 is an auxiliary antenna for your Axiom Pro's built-in GPS receiver. Instead of trying to read the GPS signal through the top of the MFD and its front glass, the GPS signals enter the system at the RS150. The GPS source and signal strength is still reported as the "internal GPS." It does sound like for whatever reason, the dummy antenna dome is reducing the signal quality. If you have the option of testing at the dock, call up the satellite status page and make a comparison of the signal strengths with the dome cover on vs. off.

@@Raymarine Hello, So that I understand correctly, Even if I have a GA150 external antenna it will still read as Internal on the network page? Is that correct? I remember reading that you would have to change the settings from internal to external when I was doing research. Thanks
@Raymarine
@Raymarine 3 жыл бұрын
That is correct. The GA150 is an external aerial that pulls signal from the air into the internal GPS receiver. Plugging in the GA150 also bypasses the micro-antenna that is built-in behind the screen glass. Think of the GA150 as being like the antenna on the roof or fender of your car that feeds the AM/FM radio. The GA150 is really a "dumb" device and does not do any processing. The internal GPS is still doing all the processing. An external sensor would be something like the Raystar 150 GPS sensor or the AR200 Augmented Reality Sensor. These units look similar to GA150 but are different inside. They are "smart" devices with a full GPS antenna and receiver subsystems inside the puck. They output a fully formatted NMEA2000 or Seatalk NG stream to the network that contains GPS position, course over ground, speed over ground, time, date, etc.

Excellent! Glad you found the answer. For anyone else reading the comments, Yes...The CPT-S transducers can work with the Axiom 12+ RV. You'll just need to add a transducer adapter cable A80490. That drops the back of the Axiom RV from a 25-pin connector to a 9-pin connection to accept the CPT-S transducer. The CPT-S transducers support the High CHIRP (170-230 kHz) channel only. They are great for depth sounding, basic fish finding, and reading bottom density. We use them alot on cruising powerboats, sailboats, RIBs and dinghies that aren't primarily concerned with fishing.

I’m not sure if you still monitor old webinars, but I’m giving it a go anyway - perhaps a question you can address on tomorrow’s live chat. I have an Axiom display connected to my boat’s WiFi. My iPad is also connected to that same WiFi network, but I am unable to remote control the Axiom from the iPad with this configuration. The RayControl app is unable to find the Axiom. I know I can create a separate WiFi network on the Axiom and connect the iPad to that, but then I have no internet access. What I want to achieve is to enable remote controlling of the Axiom from the iPad and simultaneously have internet access on both units. How can I set that up?
@Raymarine

Hello Rune. I do monitor for questions an all of the prior videos. Thanks for posting! The RayControl app only works when connected directly to Axiom's Wi-Fi. It can't connect through an external network, even if Axiom is also joined to that same external network. Axiom can actually maintain dual connections in that manner. One for devices connected to it, like your iPad for remote control and navigation data sync, as well as a connection to an external network for its own internet access.

The pair of RV420 transducers will first connect to each other with an included Y-Cable, then the pair will connect directly to the 25-pin transducer port on the back of the Axiom 12 Pro RVM display. So I have a full raymarine setup but am distrustful of anything Wifi honestly. I have a Raymarine C80, and an older raymarine radar but wanted to upgrade to an element or Axiom but was worried that I wouldn't be able to connect my old radar or that I would need to upgrade. Wifi connections for a safety device is kinda scary for me, I would rather hardline connect to my radar. Also in the previous video you said the element systems can't connect to your new radars. Is that correct?
@Raymarine
@Raymarine 11 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! If you go with an Element-series display, the only radar option for it is a Wi-Fi connected Quantum radar. Element does not have a wired network option for radar. Technically you can connect either the Quantum or the Quantum 2 Doppler radar to an Element, however, the Element display does not support the Doppler features of the scanner so it makes more budgetary sense to go with the standard Quantum so you are not paying extra for features you can't use. If you choose Axiom as your display, you can connect a Quantum or Quantum 2 radar either using Wi-Fi, or with a traditional cable. Axiom support the full radar feature set, so if you choose a doppler radar, you'll have full access to it.

If you have 3 axioms, how do you make one the master?
@Raymarine
@Raymarine Жыл бұрын
The first time the Axioms are turned on together, during the startup sequence they'll prompt you to select one to be the data master. If you want to change it afterwards you can do so by going into Axiom's Network menu. Go to Home...Settings....Network. There will be a roll-call list showing all of your Axioms and most of your other network hardware. The Axiom currently set as the master will have the annotation (DM) after its name. To set a different one as the master simply long-press on it and select Assign As Data Master from the list of options. It is very important to understand the function of the data master display. The datamaster is the primary display on the network and should be the display that is also connected to the SeaTalkng ® / NMEA 2000 network and any other sources of data in your system. The datamaster bridges the data over the ethernet network to any compatible networked ‘repeater’ displays. Most importantly, the data master is the screen inside which all of your waypoints, routes, tracks, custom screen layouts, and custom settings are stored. All of your other screens receive this information from the data master at startup. This part is SUPER IMPORTANT if you are changing data masters!!!! Back up your waypoints, routes, tracks and system settings BEFORE you switch data masters. Remember, the original Data Master has all of that stuff in its memory. The other displays do not. If you make a different display the master, it has none of that information stored inside to share back with the other screens. As soon as the new "empty" display becomes the data master, anything previously stored in the old data master will be wiped out. You'll need to restore your backup files to the new data master to ensure you do not lose anything valuable you have saved.

That upgrade addresses those issues to bring the smallest 3 Axiom screen sizes closer into line with the standard capabilities of Axiom Pro and Axiom XL.

Hello Sukhu. I am sorry to hear it is giving you trouble. First, I would try to completely power down the display by either unplugging it, or disconnecting power from the circuit breaker or battery switch. Then restart so the system is coming up from cold. If that does not improve things, you might try temporarily disconnecting everything from the display including removing any map cards. Start it back up, bare, and see if it starts. If you can get it to start up and be stable, then I would re-connect accessories and charts. Worst-case, if you can get it to be stable while bare, you can perform a factory reset. Home...Settings....This Display and then scroll to the bottom. In the event some kind of settings glitch or software fault is causing the issue, you can reset it to its out-of-the-box configuration. This will eliminate any waypoints and routes though.

Swipe your finger from right to left once to highlight Yes. 6. Swipe your finger from left to right once to restore your MFD to factory default settings. 7. When Data wipe complete is displayed, swipe your finger from left to right to restart your MFD. Here is the process for Axiom Pro, which has buttons: 1. Switch off power at the breaker to ensure that the MFD is completely powered off, and not in Standby mode. Alternatively, remove the power cable from the display. 2. Within approximately 10 seconds of powering on your MFD, press and hold the Back and Switch active buttons until the screen goes black and the Raymarine logo appears. The MFD will boot into Recovery mode. 3. Use the directional controls to highlight Wipe data/factory reset. 4. Press Ok. 5. Select Yes to restore your MFD to factory default settings. 6. Your particular Axiom model does not have a built-in sonar. On its own, there is no place to connect a transducer. There are a couple of ways you can add fish-finding capability to your system: 1. Purchase an external sonar module and transducer and network them to your Axiom using a RayNet Ethernet cable. Your Axiom is compatible with our CP100, CP200, CP370, CP470, CP570 and RVX-1000 sonar modules. Of these, the RVX-1000 provides all of the capability of the Axiom RV (RealVision 3D) models, plus it adds a 1kW CHIRP sonar too, equivalent to what is built into the Axiom Pro RVX series models. 2. If you are thinking of ever adding a second Axiom to your boat, make that one with sonar built-in and connect a transducer to it. When that Axiom is networked with your original, the sonar is accessible on both units.
