Friday Night Funkin' is a Newgrounds rhythm game made in HaxeFlixel originally created for Ludum Dare 47. Programmed by ninjamuffin99 with a soundtrack produced by Kawai Sprite and artwork created by PhantomArcade and evilsk8r, the game can be played on Newgrounds or played/downloaded for free on Itch.io.
The plot of the game centers around Boyfriend trying to hook up with Girlfriend, but her ex-rockstar father Daddy Dearest doesn't approve of him. It's up to Boyfriend to rap battle his way through him and anyone else that stands in his way so that he can finally get freaky! Think you got what it takes?
Friday Night Funkin' is an ongoing project that will continue to receive updates, bug fixes and new content. A full version of the game is currently in development, having been successfully funded via a Kickstarter campaign. Check the changelog here for information on the latest updates. The game is also open source to allow users to mod or simply look through its assets.

Context on who Rewrite is: Rewrite is an entity who has captured the essence of Majin, Sonic.EXE, and Lord X. At 3:45, the transformation backfires, with Majin and Sonic.EXE combine,making a combination of the two vocals. 4:13; Lord X, first appears in a shadow making it almost impossible to see him properly. Eventually, he appears out of his shadow, seeing his full appearance. After the three, Rewrite appears and the BPM slows down. Then at 6:59, he talks about he can see not just the 4th wall, but *through the screen* and knows you are playing. Sadly, this is all I know. Let me know if I missed anything. 👇

ok so this isnt exactly how it works, as rewrite or should i say just to be correct, sonic is the result of the exe story being rewritten oh so many times, and the way he knows of the real world is that he found a church with some kind of thing where you can talk to "god" which was powered by a computer, which he then took over yada yada yappin bout lore, anyway he didnt exactly fail he just fused the shapshift of majin and exe to disturb boyfriend and by extension the player, also yeah his name aint rewrite, springless confirmed its just sonic :D

The fusion part was prob actually just a glitch that was never ever intended to happen, they prob spawned at the same time which caused them to merge but still kind of sticking out since in games a model can also merge with another model, that's my theory

That's not regular 3D modeling used for Rewrite and the EXEs. It also isn't Low-Poly, as that would look like Sonic R or DC Sonic Adventure. Pixel art can't do 3D that convincingly, especially a high poly count like these. What you were looking for is Pre-Rendered CGi. Think early PlayStation FMVs, like Tekken 2 ending movies.

HERE IS MY THEORY FOR REWRITE: as you know if you die in this mod you turn into a red ring and rewrite takes your soul, and in trinity rewrite can be seen with three red rings on his rists and one on his left leg meaning he has captured three souls, who are the souls he has captured? Sonic.exe, magin, and lord x. Yeah, seems Ray had gotten a newer version (or at least different version) then what the others that have "reviewed" this mod had. But honestly it is interesting, I notice the last part (Genesis Sprite part) of this version has a small detail of having Rewrite having 4 red rings when in the close up view he has 3, and if you lose in that segment he takes your (the player's) spirit as the last ring. But with that final part you see he still got his 4th ring, which implies perhaps he didn't catch you but still decided to take BF's Spirit as the 4th one.

I really want the FNF community to make a mod about Archie Sonic, and the only way to win against him, if you don't miss any notes, collect all rings, and use the chaos emeralds. Or theres is always gonna be a bad ending, where you can't beat him because of his plot manipulation, and even when you try to press enter to have a break, you can't because this version of Sonic is immune to existence erasure.
