If you are the guy that sent the video To Raz. The radiolink rc6gs is a decent radio I have one as well. I also installed a booster (signal)If you don't have a signal booster you may want to look into one they will extend your range dramatically you will have to modify your radio its not hard you will get more range out of your radio with a booster and have that much more security on range and your will be able to run your car further and may get the range you need for the speed your looking for. I'm just starting into speed running myself, with a Limitless, Castle 1717 combo, etc, 90mph on 6s on my first 2 passes, that's as far as I am, and I have to say, this video was an absolute wealth of insight and knowledge that I can't thank you enough for. I learned so much just about what else I need to learn to get up to those speeds that I did not know at the start of this video. I very much look forward to more of these videos. I’ve been into rcs for close to 20 years, past 5 years is when I got heavy into the build. From old school radio shack rcs lol to hobby grade 1/10-1/5 scales. Current collections are a felony, 2 built limitless, 2 x maxx, 2x 4wd build slash, xle Losi 1/5 Buggy, probably another 7-8 more, total over 20 hobby cars, it’s a fun hobby, gets your mind off the bs you deal with, and the results of your build is rewarding. I was enthralled the entire time. You've made me want to pull out my 100mph 2wd RC10 buggy project again and see what I can do. I need a better radio and much longer runs. It hit 70mph as it was passing my driving position measured with a Radar Gun, we didn't even get a GPS measurement, or let it "breathe" after it passed. It's got so much more speed geared as is I think!

Awesome video. Being slow and smooth on the throttle is KEY. Or perfect pass. If I breathe and relax and I'm slow I pick up MPH every single time compared to getting too anxious and squeezing too fast. Good work raz

I will do my best to comment and like every video regardless of the content. I hit the notification bell. Can you reach out to KZbin and see if they can help? I am sure you have major ties to the rc industry manufactures...maybe they can help. I know those manufactures want people to see your content. Surely KZbin can see 40k+ people wanted to see your videos. I know I would rather watch such high quality informative content than some joe blow do stupid crap or politics for goodness sake. What about “live” feeds? Does that send better notifications to your subs? I know nothing about it...just throwing ideas out there.

I tip off my hat to you Mr. Raz!! This was 40 minutes absolutely well spent! You're help to this hobby community is simply unparalleled. You are truly a kind & humble person. I just learned a wealth of information from this video, mistakes that I have been making myself. One of the most important ones being the 'not long enough runs'. It's soo hard to see the car lol. I did use your Perfect Pass module this past weekend. I was doing a shakedown test after reassembling & tuning the car (limitless, MMX 8S /1717 1650kv) after a bad crash. Even with weak batteries (thought i charged them 🤦‍♂️) & a short run (900ft start to finish) since I just wanted to make sure it ran straight & smoothly, it hit just under 90mph. You can definitely feel the smoothness of the Perfect Pass, in both, acceleration & maintaining the car straight. I pulled the data log & although only 70% throttle, it was completely linear. I'm waiting for my BSR's to come in this weekend so I can try to get a full run in & see what I can get with the current gearing, 34T pinion /29T spur. Stock car setup with carbon fiber shock towers & ceramic bearings. Want to get a good solid baseline before I go crazy with upgrades lol, I have only had it since this past May. Max speed so far 102mph (w/o Perfect Pass). Thanks again for all your support in this hobby 😎👍

I've been struggling just to get to 100 mph with stock Typhon electronics. I've been stuck at 99 mph for a while. I love the way you make us think about it and solve our own problems. I have a castle MMX8 and TP4050cm waiting to go in but I refuse to install it until I reach my stock Motor & ESC goal of 100mph, and I've been chasing my tail just like this gentleman with no data logs to look at replacing parts blindly trying to find more speed.

Awesome helpful vid Raz! I noticed right away that he was getting out of the throttle 2 or 3 seconds too early. I have the same controller but I put a range extender on it and now the car will go farther than I can see. I also want to thank you for the perfect pass. I have been hesitant to buy one but I finally did and I absolutely love it. People like flopac talk crap about them and gyros but who cares. Whatever is gonna help me get faster I’m all about it. Only problem I have with the perfect pass is now I’m ordering 2 more for my other speed builds.😂 I think the perfect pass would help him gain 5-10mph easily. I gained 7mph after I installed it and got the settings the way I like it. Highly recommend to anyone that has the need for more speed! 👍

Great work and knowledge, for me, I have a maddrift converted to a speed runner. my game is bullet proofing for more fun.i run 70 to 80 mph for 12 to fifteen minutes for safe displays of speedrunning for two years now with tire changes and a bearing or two. This entices people to look into our hobby. I have done 101mph. 12 minutes of the 70s does impress. Keep up the great work and do it safely. Custom RC builder in Detroit.

A couple of tips when looking at data logs. Make sure you have "Graph Smoothing" disabled. This feature can cause rounding errors; this can result in seeing minimums higher than they really are or maximums showing lower than actual. Setting the "Graph Zooming" to "Vertical Axis Locked" is a super feature. It allows you to use the mouse scroll wheel to zoom in on the data. It keeps the vertical data locked so it never zooms in and cuts off data; you can then use the horizontal slider to move back-and-forth between passes and runs. One thing also not mentioned, but something that Joshua did, is make sure you Sample Frequency on the logs is set to 10/samples per second. This gives you the most accurate data possible, which is important for things that happen momentarily like voltage drop, ripple voltage and current spikes.

I know its kinda off sublect but in regards to the p.p......i had an accident and lost my throttle finger. With that being said I have to brain to use a different finger to throttle up. Do you, in your honest opinion think that I could benefit from using it?I'm hitting the 120s with an open wheel.

Hey bro sorry about the accident. I definitely think it would help you. Once you have it set right it doesn’t matter how you pull the trigger it will be a smooth throttle curve. The perfect pass will not let you squeeze too hard. You can literally just peg the throttle and it will slowly speed up depending on how much of a delay you set it too. I love mine,and just ordered 2 more for my other speed builds. Sorry to answer for Raz I was just putting my personal experience with it. 👍

Excellent review and rating without telling us the the exact anwser. I too am stuck in my run at 139mph. And have been chasing my tail. I'm using the same Radiolink RC6GS V2 and I know it's not a range issue but a driver issue. You have done well and really got my noodle 🧠 firing on all cylinders. I have heard the rpm change in one of my cars the moment I was about to let off and it went faster. So I believe with knowing that I can make the FUNDAMENTAL adjustments to see 140mph. However, I'm only running MMX8S and 1717 castle motor so no over gearing for me. And I believe overgearing is relative to what system you're using because it's based on what you're trying to achieve. Amazing video Iove the idea of it. When I had the speed bug I found myself making the same mistakes. I would not give my car enought room to let packs voltage recover. The most important was my fat finger smashing the trigger too hard. This causes my voltage to drop drastically and didn't have the room to recover. Once I learned proper trigger control and to legthen the run I gained mph. Now I am done with searching for speed and just enjoy the sport with my son. Love the community and am very grateful for people like yourself. Watching you stay so dedicated to the sport while maintaining a positive and kind attitude is inspirational.

Love your videos and your insight. Sir what you said about Facebook is absolutely 💯. I just commented on a post where a woman in a arrma speed run group is trying to buy a car that will hit 150. Not one guy tried to sell her a car instead there is 150 comments on dudes talking shit to this woman. Trying to scare her away from her goal. It's a shame really.

This is an AWESOME Series Raz! 👍👍👍 You are truly the inspiration for my first speed car I just finished a month ago. Limitless 8s with TP 5650 1400kv and Mamba Monster 8s ESC over geared 36/34 etc I've managed to hit 114mph so far 👍 Need to get a new GPS tho. What does everyone suggest? Thank you

I agree with what you said, I'm not rich or a rc Guru..I do it cause it's fun "hobby" .I enjoy tinkering, example I play with wltoys 1/12,1/10 and try to figure out other aspects of the car besides batteries...I took my mod 1 gear and shaved it down to half of its original weight which works awesome on smaller cars ,mine is 2s at around mid 80s mph w/5500kv motor..like you said so many variables..thanks for the videos always enjoy watching

Awesome video as always Raz!! I agree 100%, people fail to realize that if you reach a speed of 100 mph in a 1/10 scale rc it's pretty much the same as doing 1000 mph in a real car by scale!! So many fail to even understand that side of things!! Where I live there are no good hobby shops around and the rc world around here is taking the fall because of it!! I have around 10 cars and most are nitro just because the tiny engines are cool to me but have been thinking of getting some electric ones!! Would really like to buy a piece of property and build a Hobby Shop and a couple cool tracks!! Maybe just a pipe dream but only time will tell!!

Ok, so I am NOT into RC cars. I was when I was a kid. For one Christmas my dad got me a Tamiya Hornet, and at around 11yo I actually managed to get it put together, and by the time I changed hobbies from cars to chicks, I'd upgraded nearly every part of the thing. That being said, the other day, I ran across that car, and through the rabbit hole, I ended up on your channel. Now, I've enjoyed watching your content, but this video right here. This could be one of the best of the ones I've watched. You sir, you understand! You remember what it was like to be a human being, before.... the dark times. If this platform had more content creators, across every genre, like you, then the distraction based world of KZbin would be a better place! The way you acknowledged that the man made a freakin tiny little car do ONE HUNDRED AND F0RTY something MPH is INSANE!!! Just wow! He did nothing at all wrong! And you also did not just "give" him the answer, because you know, he'd be far better off learning the lessons for himself.

I'm only doing 65 mph. I want to reach 100 mph. I know, I need to get better and make my car better to get there. I love it though. My husband and I have a lot of fun though.😎 Great video.

@@RazShifrin sure but I think you’d be hard pressed to find someone in this game that hasn’t already heard of you. I think the biggest obstacle is KZbin not pushing all new videos when you subscribe to a channel. Having to hit the bell and choosing to get them all is a pain. Thirty percent of your subscribers probably forgot to hit that damn bell!

Thank you so much man. I'm a 1/10 scale indoor carpet oval and oradcourse racer and getting into these big speed run cars. Thanks for all the info I learned so much that I didn't know before this video. I got the open wheel limitless and got It to 105 mph my 2nd run ever I can get 120 or more but need to do some more tunning and work on it and slowly get to 120. But what I learned is once you get to 100 mph it takes alot more power and gearing to get up past 100 even getting to 100 mph with a RC car is impressive. Now the carpet racing I do I got a road race car that is touring pro mod class and we are doing 75 mph down the long straight on the track and flying it is craZy fun all the grip speeds and even different bodies and where you mount the body changes handling. I got 3 other classes I run as well on road. Now oval my fastest division we are doing 80mph wide open never lift on the oval with pan car nascar bodies with billboards on the left side for more lateral grip. But also guy go into your radios and make sure you are maxed out on throttle rate. Like my spectrum I can set it to 140 percent max is the most throttle throw I can get out of my electric RC cars with that radio that is the most and fastest my throttle rate will go when I first got radio it was set at 100 and didn't realize until a day or two I could jack it up to 140 percent for electric RC cars for gas motor cars don't go past 100 cause then it will start rolling by it's self
