lmfao I absolutely love razer but good price to performance?!?! Nah there's plenty of other brands out there with cheaper laptops that perform just as well with the added bonus of more than a 512GB SSD. Don't get me wrong the finish with the CNC is beautiful and feels as premium as they go but its definitely overpriced imo

I know right? He either knows nothing or is lying about the sponsership. Razer products are beatiful, even the best looking laptops in my opinion. But definately not good bang for buck. And thing is, razer does not even aim for a better price to performance.

They may have a good chassis and build, but Razer are currently in the recycling period using the same chassis for 3 whole years, only swapping the cpu/gpu. Plus, you'd think that they would have great speakers like a MacBook, but the speakers are not good at all. And not having a vapor chamber is just downright weird.

Definitely not much of an upgrade at all, but I bought the last year model a couple months ago and honestly, if you really feel you need the difference in performance between this year and last, you should probably just get a different laptop (like a 17” workstation machine). The selling point here is the absurdly nice build quality. Aluminum block laptops are just so much nicer to hold and use than the plastic stuff like the asus m14 and m15. On paper it’s a very hard call, but when you touch them... you’ll know. This thing is just a joy to behold.

10:16 You can use WDS, depending on the speed of your LAN/USB/laptop drive, you can go from selecting the boot device, to having a working desktop in as little as 5 minutes. We average 10 minutes with ryzen 7 4750u laptops cheap USB imaging drives, and slow NMVe drives, no time difference between ryzen and intel computers as the drives are the limiting factor, i would imagine AMD would win if the drives were faster. I use SCCM/MECM which is just an all encompasing enterprise solution sitting on top of tools like WDS With WDS you can create windows install media that bypasses the out of box experience, and skips the 'this may take several minutes' screen, Also, as long as the programs you want can be installed using powershell, or command line/bat, WDS can even pre-install programs you want to use You can even have it set up to create local users/passwords and set the desktop/lock screen background

What I hate about the blades nowadays is that they don't have any significant change to the cooling system, chassis, layout etc. They've basically reused the same chassis ever since 2018 which is not innovative at all. Vapor chambers should be a must on premium laptops like this one. I also believe the speakers lack the powerfull base sounds and oomph compared to like a macbook which is also a shame. As for the intel processors,I believe Razer may have a contract with intel forcing them to use their processors, but it could also be laziness,not wanting to switch the processor.
@shirokuro733 жыл бұрын
Great video as always! You make me smile and do that learnin' stuff thing at the same time! You mentioned about the Max-Q, I'm not sure if you were following the kerfuffle, but NVidia have scrapped that branding now. They keep it as the name of a "technology" but they no longer put it on the name of the card. Instead they just call the card "3060/3070/3080 laptop GPU" but the cards/chips support a certain amount of wattage, which depends on what the laptop manufacturer wants to support. In the case of the 3060, I believe the lowest powered versions will be 60W, and the highest 115W, but with a possible 15W boost due to "Dynamic boost 2.0". The 3060 in yours, if it says 95W, that probably means 80W with a dynamic boost possible of an extra 15W, which puts it somewhere in the middle of that wattage pack. Somewhere between what would previously have been called a Max-Q and a Max-P. I think that's pretty good for a thin-and-light. If you want more power, you have to get something thicker like the Asus Strix G17 you reviewed. IMO it's really misleading for NVidia to drop the "Max-Q" labeling without requiring the manufacturers to be upfront. NVidia have "encouraged" the manufacturer to publish the wattage of the graphics in their machines, but are not requiring or enforcing it. The result being that a consumer will just see 3060 or 3070 or 3080 without having any idea if they are buying a 60W, 80W, 130W whatever graphics chip. Really really dishonest IMO. Unfortunately for the consumer (but fortunately for reviewers!!) it means reviews like yours have never been more important, as it may be the only way a consumer can find out what they are actually buying, before they buy it! Really bad situation for consumers IMO, so a huge thank you to you and all the other reviewers out there! "Help me, TEDD, you're my only hope!"

I got razer blade 15 base 2020 3 weeks ago and............ And the 2021 does not even has improvements other than a new GPU And Dolby THX I had the worst experience freaking 3 replace and still things are worst First Week First Replacement: Battery, Fan and charger pin Issue. The battery overcharged and heated up at idle so much that the processor was confused "should I heat up or the battery???" and the fan issue was that as soon as you move your laptop from one place to another the fan started making ticking noises and the plastic coating on the pin had some barely visible scratches like you put the pin on a floor and grab a heavy piece of rock and hit it few times and then clean it up with a cloth how will it look like? this is how exactly it was looking like but only the plastic coating the pin was hope fully good. Second Week Second Replacement: Hinge Issue and speakers issue so as the laptops is a fingerprint magnet because of the texture on it you have to clean it time by time and I can live with the because of the beauty it offers but almost every other thing about this laptop sucks I was cleaning this laptop and I wiped my cloth on the hinge of the laptop and heard a crackling noise "What's that?" I wiped it again and the same crackling noise so I decided to return this tomorrow as it was night and I had an idea that I should also test out the rest of the things like battery, speakers, keyboard, trackpad etc so the battery was perfect keyboard and trackpad had no problem but when I came to speakers another story begin the right speaker had 26% lower volume than the left one and even on a low volume the speaker was making a weird noise and had way less bass than the left one the fan issue was also resolved, 2 issues gone 2 issue came wow what an excellent job razer! keep up this ****** work with every laptop you make!!! and this issue was not only present in 1 laptop or 2 laptop in 3 laptops that I've tested so far and I know there will be soo many more laptops that will have different issues just like the 2019 models had what improvements did you made? making the right Shift key bigger? that was already bigger in the 2018 model that was your improvement? Third Week Third Replacement: Another Shiny looking laptop Another Shinny Unboxing Another WTF Same Speaker Issue but this time had little more sound than the previous one this time around 20% and the same hinge crackling little bit stiffer than before because the in the previous one I could barely feel it even if you put a short amount of weight and one more issue got present it's the right fan (GPU Fan) It's loose If you move the laptop a little bit the right fan make sound like there is something like a piece of plastic stuck in it I don't if if it's something els the battery is not the issue in this one and the previous on it was only a problem in the first one but one thing to keep in mind is that there are no standers of a battery capacity as I've tested the batter in every laptop and they all hade different capacity like the second one has gone to 72 watts after doing a full charges from 25% to 100% this one has just got to 66.5W and it is fixed there the first one had got to over 78W and then next day fall to 54W and every razer laptop I've found yet has a battery life of 1- 1 hours and 50 minutes with a normal use on just web browsing on chrome and when you do stuff like photo shop, primer pro or just play Microsoft Solitaire the battery last around 45 to 53 minutes and shows the battery warning that is defaultly set to 10% low battery and 5% critical if you chose every settings default like you just simply installed the windows that comes with razer and you don't mess around with the setting which is also called "Factory Settings" I'm just a normal guy not a "Reviewer" or anything I'm just sharing how I've been treated by razer and I know The time that have gone wasted and that struggle I don't think any actions would be taken on me because simply they don't care. A great lesson from razer🙁
