I've been saving up for a Surface Book 3, which should release this year with the same 10th gen i7 and 1650 Max-Q as the Stealth. Although I wouldn't be surprised if Microsoft found a way to get more voltage into the CPU to let it perform slightly better. I'm happy to see it will be a good two-in-one 13.5" travel PC for when I don't have access to my desktop.

I guess if you only play esports titles it could be nice to have. As for battery life, Razer already have good settings regarding that, on this you can set it to automatically change refresh rate to 30Hz when you take it off AC power, so you could just do the same to go from 120Hz to 60Hz or lower.

I am currently looking for a 13' sized casual gaming PC. From other reviews I have seen, it looks the like CPU is a bottleneck for the system. I know for the price point I could get a 15 inch, but the 13 inch just feels perfect for using it on the couch or sitting down at a desk. 15 just feels too large for that use case.
@JarrodsTech5 жыл бұрын
Yeah it's a limit but still about the best you can get at 13", only so much heat you can pack in there.

exactly. but dont expect to be playing shooter games on it. it is just not powerful enough (especially the CPU)
@cemsengul164 жыл бұрын
The stealth is a near perfect laptop man. I wish they could have installed an RTX Max Q GPU onto that beautiful 13 inch laptop. The 1650 Max Q variant is just too weak, you have to lower settings down even on a full hd screen, that is kind of pathetic in 2020.

I have Helios 300 with two extra fans for cooling with Nvidia GTX 1660ti. Plays every game maxed out at over 100 fps. Hey there Jarrod, excelent job as always. But whats up with the 1080p ? Is that really the resolution people should be using for gaming on a 13" laptop ? Im somewhat sure that on 720p this laptop would be bangin and the visual quality would be wonderful at 13", would You mind testing that aswell ? Im really curious how well this laptop would perform in games with a resolution more fitting its perfomance and use case.
@JarrodsTech5 жыл бұрын
Thanks! It has a 1080p screen so I just tested with that, I don't really do 720p testing, maybe I'm a graphics snob haha 😅 that could have been worth testing, I didn't attempt it though.
@JeyKalda5 жыл бұрын
@@JarrodsTech I mean I kinda understand but it seems a bit invalid... 720p on 13,3" screen has better ppi than 1080p on a 24" monitor, if youre going for gaming on the go, you wont have a monitor or a big display at hand most of the time. According to that you should be able to increase the graphical details/settings and actually get better graphical quality at 720p rather than at 1080 with a device like Razer blade stealth 13" with 1650.
@MrJman91444 жыл бұрын
Plox Roflox I just bought this laptop? So you would recommend 720p over 1080p? Say if I’m getting 40-60 FPS in a single player game with 1080p you would recommend the extra frames that come with 720p? Wouldn’t the game look slightly worse?
@JeyKalda4 жыл бұрын
@@MrJman9144 If youre playing on the laptops screen, then the difference is almost not noticeable. Ofc some games have FOV tied directly to resolution, which can cause a "claustrophobic" feeling. But as I mentioned above. The small screen at 720p has a higher pixel density than a 24" 1080p display, so it will look worse than 1080 at the laptops screen size (what a surprise) but it still should look better than if you were to play on 24" 1080p standard (22"-24" 1080p displays are still pretty much the standard atm)

Price, Quality Control, Poor Service, Lack of international warrantee, I am so disappointed with Razer, I always wanted to buy one of their laptops ( I have a Razer deathadder mouse- it's amazing and highly durable but it's only 40$ so it's not a risk ) while these cost a crazy amount! Btw I am quite happy with my Helios 300 2019, any ideas on how to improve on battery life? I use it at the lowest brightness, 60hz with backlit off when I am not gaming and I still get only 3 hrs ...

I find it fascinating that people parrot this information without any personal experience/issues with Razer laptops. Not really much you can do other than the obvious, turn off key lighting, close stuff you don't need etc.

Can I get this laptop to play warzone with my friends
@NimpayPvP4 жыл бұрын
I would definitely consider paying 100-200 more to get the razer blade which would have a significantly better performance. If your preference in laptops is portability then get it.

Sorry jarrod but these laptops make absolutely no sense for their price. I migrated from a 24" monitor on a desktop to a 15.6" laptop and the performance is great but these machines have tiny screens and the experience is no where close to proper pc gaming. If you need a laptop and want to game, get a 17.3" one, at least it can de decent. If 17.3" is too much, forget gaming or be prepared to play casually or not focus on it. The sweet spot for people who really need a laptop is get a cheap small one, because gaming in them is not great. Or do it like me, get a good specced gaming laptop and an external monitor and get both of best worlds.

Personal preference of course, but 17" is way too big for me to travel with, 15" is my cut off and still offers more than playable experience in all modern games at 1080p.

@@JarrodsTech Well I'm into competitive fps, so 15.6" as you imagine is a joke, simply not enough size to properly see everything clearly. But even normal single player games are much more enjoyable on 24", there's no doubt. The only good note about small is good PPI and better quality, but it's not worth it. 24" 1440p is too good.

It's worth it if you have the money and want a very portable power house.

Yeah this is basically as powerful as you can get for a 13".

If more people ask for it I'll consider buying it, I'd expect it to work fine on these specs though.
