As a razer owner, Ill take that over the others any day. You get what you pay for. Design wise, simple is better, but hey everyone has their opinion. The flash lights don't do it for me, looks like I'm in 3rd grade again.

Great video! I’m curious, if you play a KZbin video at 4K on the Titan, and play the same video set at 4K on the Scar’s QHD display, do you notice any difference in visual quality between the two?

You do. In gaming too. There is a good use case for 4k. But it’s not as big as going from 1080p to qhd

I have the scar 18 2023. All maxed out with rtx 4090. Man the performance is superb! Playing cyberpunk 2077 phantom liberty recent patch qhd+ ultra graphics with ultra ray tracing and dlaa. I am achieving 150fps + with turbo mode! I will not upgrade for around 4 years or 5 years from this bad mother

Cyberpunk. Yeah I’m a little harsh on it in some areas. It’s because I love MSI and love the titan. Some of the issues seem like they could have easily been resolved. I think I’m making the decision to go with a 16 inch laptop so I’ll be selling this titan soon.

I chose the scar 18 model 2024, it comes with 64gb ram. I bought it at microcenter for $3799. The numeric keypad made the difference in my choice.

Im really leaning more and more towards the scar 18. I would like to get the razer, but it's way too much. €5200+ vs €4600 for the same spec. Im also considering Lenovo but they dont have 18inch. But with their sales price its very tempting to go for them. Either 9i or 7i pro

I had all three and ended up going with the Blade 18 2024 model. My reason was because of the size, professional look, port selection, and SOUND QUALITY. Unfortunately; screen, battery life, keyboard are useless to me. I use a monitor and tv to game and I normally have a Logitech mouse and mechanical keyboard attached.

@@alisheikh1582 there’s no heat on the keyboard or palm plate. Most heat is pushed out through the vents towards the back of the laptop. And due to the size heat dissipation is very efficient.

Could you please verify the local dimming switch in Razer Synapse on the RB18? Without HDR enabled colors and blacks are washed out. Is there any work around except "not using local dimming without HDR enabled?"

Yeah when in HDR you need to have local dimming on. Also, only use HDR when you plan on watching HDR content or playing games on HDR. Other than that, it should be switched off. A cool windows keyboard shortcut to turn it on or off is Windows, Alt, B

I got 1 question about these led laptops.. Do you see a faint led grid like layout in bright backgrounds?

Yeah it’s the gradients. They show up more in mini led laptops because of how bright they are. OLEDs are much better at handling gradients.

They’re different laptops. The razer will perform better. But the g16 is more portable and has much better battery life.

I know you think razer should be included with this level of competition. Razers do not last and you may as well just burn your money. Yes out of the box it’s impressive. They have no clue how to cool a laptop. The exterior is great. That’s where it ends! If you’re reviewing a laptop based off the shell. You are a part of the problem.

Previous razer blades had issues with cooling. The newer ones don’t seem to have that widespread failure. And on the 17 and 18, the cooling is great.

Your ram absolutely effect your scores. If you could have faster ram the Titan would smash these others lol. The reason the Razer is winning is phase changing thermal solution and there vapor chamber is keeping the GPU and CPU cooler with less throttling! I have tried all these laptops. I think I would have kept the Titan if it had gsync. Asus just has a jaw dropping display it def won in the display. I choose the blade for the refresh rate, the sound quality, the overall all sound when gaming and the look. Otherwise great review.

I didn’t measure fan noise but I spoke about it. The razer is the most quiet and the titan is the loudest. I measured the titan when I just got it and in extreme performance it measured around 52 db. On balanced and silent the titan is quieter. Sometimes I’m not able to cover everything. That’s what the comment sections are for 😀

@Mido_ I didn’t measure man. I used to use my Apple Watch but sold it. But I compared them side by side and the blade in general was noticeably quieter than the others. In balanced mode though the titan wasn’t as loud. But honestly they all sound like a gaming laptop. Fan noise is still a thing on most gaming laptops. I’ll make sure I measure in the future.
