i had this hub before with my in win fans. here is a tip, if you want your fans to have that rotating effects, i set them as LED strips, it works just same and IMO it looks 10x better, just make sure the software has the right amount of LEDs corresponding to the fans.

Yeah I can't get my fans to do shit without setting them as strips. The effects time is too quick aswell and you can't use more than effect, I'd like to have a wave going forwards and then back but you can only set the 1 forward effect and not layer another after.

For the Chinese fans with the hub, if you have at least one "standard" 3pin rgb fan that has a daisychain connector you can daisychain off of it to get them to sync with that fan's RGB. Also, if you plug in the 3pin argb standard fan to the controller and then hot swap it out to the chinese fan it also works.. Until you reboot, or re-sync the controller. It a shame plugging directly to the razer controller doesn't recognize them, it seems like a software issue. If only we could convince razer to add a generic rgb device profile to the firmware for the controller..

Razer Chroma in India costs 80USD and Cooler Master ARGB A1 costs 20USD will Cooler master A1 also allows individual LED control for other brans like the razer Chroma

Those 5 wire Chinese fans (with a 6 pin connector) have 2 wires to the fan motor and 3 wires to control the RGB. Has anyone tried connecting those 3 RGB wires to a standard ARGB 3 pin connector and running them that way? I know there's no way to plug the Razer controller to the Chinese hubs. It would probably either see just the hub as one LED or just not work at all. What happened when you tried it?

FYI we can use this Razer Chroma aRGB hub to make double light different such as Cooler Master MF120 Halo and EZdiy Fab. E.g. Ring light is white and fan light is blue. I saw reddit user u/NitAcid do it. www.reddit.com/r/coolermaster/comments/m2fwms/finally_i_was_able_to_put_the_halo_and_the_fan_in/

Does Chroma have to be running in the background for the effects to take effect? For instance, say you set the effect to breathing/blinking in white... if you turn off or restart the PC, will the effect continue, or will it reset to something else until such time that Chroma is opened up?

Does the colours you selected stay that way even when turning off the computer and then turning it on? I know Asus has a argb header to connect to but it doesn't stay the selected colour when starting the computer it goes back to the rainbow colour till the computer gets to the password screen

This is super helpful! I wanted to get this so my pc would be on the same rgb software as my perifs but I wasn't sure if other brands' fans' rgb would be compatible or not because the fans Razer made are garbage. Also for Lian Li's SL and AL fans, do they have to be daisy chained or can they be snapped together?

Hey KosherTech, great video. Do you happen to know if there are cheaper alternatives to this? I have a mobo that does not support ARGB, and a case that has ARGB fans. I'm looking for a way that I could use ARGB fans without converting them to regular RGBs. So it would be something with a USB connection and PC software (not some predefined programs). Do you know if such stuff exists (except for this razer one of course)?
@Morpheussig2 жыл бұрын
There are a bunch of argb controllers that use a usb connector instead of the 5v 3 pin argb motherboard header. Usually these are cheap so it shouldn’t be hard to find one that suits you. You CANT control rgb through software, but they come with a remote that has a bunch of color modes. This is best option if no argb header on motherboard
@otreblarazalas6692 жыл бұрын
just get the chroma addressable hub in the video. it uses 3 pin argb connectors
@TefenCa2 жыл бұрын
The only thing I wish is that the controllers stored the current setting so the lights would stay on correctly when the software isn't open. It sucks that the software has to be left open for it to work and that the lights don't look correct when booting the PC until the software loads.

Can you please do a review on CoolerMaster ARGB Controller vs CoolerMaster ARGB Controller A1 and let me know if both will worth other branded AIOs and fans and allow Individual LED control and Brightness control Note: Found that the old CoolerMaster ARGB Controller allows other branded AIO and fans to control lighting but no idea about individual LED and brightness Found the new CoolerMaster ARGB Controller A1 allows control of individual devices even if they are daisy chained but not sure if it will work with other brands

hi i bought the Msi liquidcooling 240r and that comes with 3pin male and female cords for the rgb fans.if i were to connect the male pins to the hub,what do i do with the female ones? been so confused with this
@PinkSuitGuy2 жыл бұрын
the only reason why there are both male and female pins is so you can daisy chain the fans. this allows them to act as one unit, and free up space in whatever you would be connecting them to. ie it would only take up one slot instead of two.

Hi, great video. I have a quick question about the software: Can you create custom effects on LED strips? My brother owns a pair of the phanteks neon rgb strips and his msi motherboard has a cool effect which "stacks" the LEDs on top of another at a desired point of the strip (I set it up to do it at a LED where the strip makes an 90 degree bend). Unfortunately, I haven't seen such an effect on the razer software. Is there any possibility to get this effect into the razer software or at least create it on my own?
