I have used both cynosa and the K55. All I can say is that they both are SO similar, But the K55 has multimedia separate buttons, media keys too and Cynosa has true RGB. I'd say go for you're choice.

Every review mentions the "floating style" of the K55. It is untold that it means it has higher keycaps, like ~1.2 cm. The keycap height is less on the Cynosa Chroma. I felt the Enter and Backspace keys harder to press on K55, so I tested it with a 70g weight and it was not enough to press down these two keys. This weight pushes down Cynosa Chroma Enter and Backspace keys easily. The K55 is really silent.

Razer Cynosa also has the anti spill which for me was a huge seller since I eat and drink at my desk and I've had friends ruin their keyboards because of spills. Also, the Cynosa has media buttons using the function keys as well as you can change the brightness. So the only thing the The K55 brings that Cynosa doesn't is the 6 dedicated macro keys as well as macro recording button as well as screen brightness. However, Cynosa has keyboard brightness so you can change how bright the colours are depending on how much light you have in your room instead of having to open up the program and change it manually through the computer. In Canada, right now the K55 and Cynosa are going for 80$ each, so based on the prices as well as everything else, Cynosa is the very clear winner here.

I ended up getting the K55, I haven't ever got the Razer but I am happy with the K55. Feels nice, 3 Zone RGB isn't great id guess but at least it comes with media controls, the 6 extra macro buttons and an armrest.

In my opinion I don't really use macro keys because I'm 14 so I don't have very long fingers so my fingers can't get to all those macro keys when I'm gaming but they can be very useful and those dedicated media keys are really useful but in MY opinion I don't mind it to press fn + f11 or something and that ris rest does litterly nothing and I'm just a guy who really likes the lightning so I like the cynosa more

Corsair is just a very practical company. Their gear works and comes with whatever you need. The k55s wire is 5.91ft/ 1.8 m long!!!! The freedom that gave me to get a big screen and sit a distance away made it for me

K55 the overall vibes that keyboard gives are not what i am looking for in a keyboard and the text is horrible in my opinion. Since they are both membrane i will go with Cynosa. Better text , Better RGB, No wrist rest but still the K55's wrist rest will get you fatigued quickly because of the hardness and weird rubber they used for covering.

The extra macro keys make it always better when you play MMOs, sometimes make them win over a mechanical keyboard. Cynosa is not even present on European market. The UK layout is the most compatible with the most foreign layouts, and you know what, if you want to sell back a second-hand Corsair K55 it gets away in few minutes at almost full price, getting back the money you spent.

Cynosa's RGB experience is premium, no doubt, BUT!, the goddamn keys get stiff after one year of use, they develop plastic dust that make them hard to press. I tried dusting them but the stiffness won't go.

I own a Blackwidow v2, and I have never actually used the macro keys for anything, I just wish they would have gotten rid of those for some function keys, I chose Razer because I already had one of their products and wanted to sync all of the lighting together.

If any of you guys are still on a debate im gonna put my perspective in hopes of helping you. I Have both the Cynosa and the K55, however im using the K55 right now. To put it simple, the Razer Cynosa is the best choice if you care about the asthetics of your set up and you really care about details in colours and customazation. However that is all that this Keyboard offers. It is a budget friendly super cool looking keyboard for anyone who is looking to get into smooth and colourful setups since even the actual lighting is more fluid and smooth than the K55. H o w e v e r.. The K55 is much more helpful and useful cause of its extra function buttons. It also offers a way more adaptive experiance in gaming cause of the addition of the "attaching grip" that comes with the actual keyboard. It also has a much better "feel" while gaming because of the actual button smoothness. [Im not saying that the Cynosa is not smooth, but during gaming the K55 definetly feels ideal, sometimes even making u forget that its just a 50$ keyboard] Plus the actual lighting that it offers might not be as Good looking or Smooth as the Razer one, but if you just have a casual gaming set up and you dont care about EVERYTHING being smooth or perfect, than the Preset Chroma Settings that the K55 offers are enough to satisfy any gamer and his casual non-hardcore gaming setup. And for a side note, the actual keyboard [colour/chroma aside] of the K55 does look more unique cause of his "floating buttons" style that it offers. So: HardcoreGamingSetUp, High value on Asthetics & Colours = Razer Cynosa CasualGamingSetUp, Better Gaming Experience & Better Keyboard Looks [Chroma tention aside] = Corsair K55 Hope that helped anyone that is on a high debate ^^

In my own time of using both keyboards I would say the k55 is better. It feels more responsive and easy to type and game with it. With my time with the cynosa it was harder to play and type as the keyboard just isn't made for that. It's literally just astechic while the k55 is amazing for gaming and typing.

What I did was get the K55 then picked up a Logitech G402 for cheap I think I'm gonna get the K70 Lux and g502 when I upgrade peripherals next Also i need a new Headset rlly bad lol so that makes my wait for next peripherals upgrade so much longer as I get holiday money then birthday money and to finish the year off I get Christmas money and also maybe a 20 at random points throughout the year

Fair enough. I noticed that I often press those when reaching for the esc key, simply because my old keyboard didn't have those. But I have to admit the media keys are quite useful.
