Razer Wolverine V2 Pro VS Sony Dualsense Edge : Which Controller Should You Buy ?

I have both an Xbox Series X and a PS5 and always tend to float towards the Xbox because i much prefer the position of the left thumbstick on the controller. I just want a decent xbox style controller for the PS5.

I never liked the position of the left stick on the Xbox controllers. I always found it awkward to reach and use. There are a lot of controllers on the market right now, it depends how much you want to spend and what features you are looking for.

Totally agree. I was surprised that edge only has 2 extra buttons/paddles when 4 was more common among the pro controllers. Don’t know what Sony was thinking, but they had been making a lot of dumb decisions as of late… and the same goes to Razer, how can they omit the basic features like rumble and gyro and lacking a bunch of accessories and still asking more money than the Edge or Xbox Elite… this feels more like a cash grab and tbh the Raiju Ultimate had so many problems which almost made it unusable…. I really like the extra shoulder buttons thou, I find it even more useful than the back paddles.

I’m in a dilemma…. I have been using Razer Raiju and Raiju Ultimate on PC and I really love the shoulder buttons but I also really want rumble and haptic. It’s a shame that the Wolverine while so good with the tactile buttons it is lacking so many basic features and accessories while costing more…. which one do you think has a better build quality?

The Wolverine v2 pro is good but it’s missing a lot of standard features. The build quality is the same as the other Razer controllers. If you are needing the rumbles and haptic feedback in the triggers then for sure do not get the Wolverine.

When you're looking for controllers like these. You're looking for a COMPETITIVE edge. So things like missing rumble and mic/speaker features are a clear win over the edge. Honestly, the only downside are the back paddle locations. Otherwise the wolverine was the clear winner here. If you just want to casually play games, just get the regular dualsense.

i prefer the raver wolverine v2 pro more than edge due to its clicky functions. L3 and R3 as easier to press. Pressing L3 and R3 in ds5 and edge feels like chores. the lack of speakers could be easily fixed by earphones. lack of vibrations and haptic feedback are no big deal as I often turn this off anyway. lighter weights are preferable but I have to give credit to edge's durability, its still working after several drops

Only reason why i got the Dualsense Edge is because i can change out the entire thumb sticks if i get stick drift. All i have to do is spend like $20 to buy more & boom no stick drift. That pretty much makes it to where I don't have to buy a new one for a very long time. I will say i do want 4 back buttons, but it's not a deal breaker.

Comfort wise I would say the ps5 controller wins. The Razer is shaped like the Xbox controllers and I don’t find that style very comfortable.

Wolverine is overall better because it is way better with Fighting|Arcade games and a tad bit worse with fps games.

Depends which games you play, the Wolverine definitely has some great features but the Edge overall has better build quality and a more comfortable back paddle system.

Finally some sens. Imagine being the guy in the comments to actually put out something worthwhile that is fact on the "content creators" video. Well done mate. Honestly I've grown fkin weary of all these degenerates shitting out tech videos with the most ass context or data imaginable. TLDR If you care about a carry case and use that as a major factor for a PROFFESIONAL GRADE TOOL purchasing decision, then you are just wrong to buy any proffesional grade tool because your priorities are trash. That is a luxury feature not a proffesional one. It's like comparing on board sound for multiple two grand Tv's. If you are paying that much, SURE IT would be nice if it came with a sound bar but an extra 100 isn't asking much. If the cost is already too steep then you are in the wrong place. A carry case costs a fiver. It will be better than the Dual Sense case as well. The Wolverine has a FAR superior D Pad. FAR superior actuation speed on triggers. FAR longer battery life. FAR more comfortable (for the average hand ranges. Yes this can change) FAR more improvement to competitive games. FAR superior mechanical switches. RGB which we all know increases KDA by 0.5 minimum. Even if it is hidden under your fingers...... All at the cost of accessibility and immersion features. Neither of which are a pro priority. Haptic and rumble. Both are turned off by pros ALWAYS and most casuals turn them off to save battery life and therfore increase the life cycle of a luxury (not pro) controller. Neither controller is bad. They do different things for different jobs. I'm just sick and tired of these piss poor reviews and comparisons. No joke, one moron said a pro for the Victrix was "he got to buy SF5 to review the controller"...... Because he couldn't without it? Then proceeded to struggle in the tutorial and give ZERO information about the D Pad...... WHAT... THE ...ACTUAL.....FK

I have my Wolverine v2 pro sitting next to the normal PS5 controller and the build quality are vastly different but when you compare the price between both controllers the Edge offers more in value that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a better controller though and I’m not even being bias here because I’ve tried all the quote on quote pro level gaming controllers for the PS5 and the Wolverine v2 pro blows them away literally…..I don’t like seeing people bash a product because of its price rather then praise what an esport enthusiast player is looking for and isn’t a hand massage while I’m playing either 🙄

I've had both controllers and the edge feels so smooth and the razer one does feel good and the left analog stick gave out wouldn't do anything i returned it also the vibration was a no go

DS Edge is only worth it you absolutely crave the Dualsense features and want something decent for PC, otherwise it's overpriced garbage for most ppl. Nobody in their right mind is buying the DS Edge to play solely on PC, as there are far better controllers available for less than half price.

The only single bad side of Razer controller is lack of Vibration, on Ps5 games with dualsense controller vibration helps you understand where the hits come from,and how you hitting enemy, what kind of bullets being used against you,and what kind of weapons enemy using , dualsense vibration feedbacks is next level. So this is the only single bad side of Razer controller.

PS has the most overrated gimmicky features. Speaker, haptic triggers and motion controls. Not to mention just the uncomfortable shape of the controller. PS has one of the worst design controllers, only just beating the Switch

lol no the form is signature since PS1 and it is great; A whole generation ahs grown up with it. N64 pad did'nt, Deamcast Pad didn't.
