My original launch day experience was that of disappointment. I can't speak for anyone else, but my December 10th 2019 went like this... Downloaded the game, not expecting any sort of _complete_ working support for my ancient CH Products USB Fighterstick/Throttle/Pedals. I had some expectation for _something_ to work, but nooo, nothing nada, not a button, or an axis :( Ok I know what your'e thinking, just suck it up and play with a console controller, or a keyboard and mouse. Well yeah, but NO. My memories of MW2, MW3, MW4, were always of _Immersion_ , and a major part of that feeling was stick in hand, throttle in the other and (for me anyway) torso twist with pedals (Blame a session in those Mechwarrior PODS in the '90's for that). I took me till the day _after_ launch to finally track down the "MW5HotasRemappingDocumentaion.pdf" floating around on the web, (No epic support forums for you then! I had to go to reddit). The solution was you had to write a 3 page joystick ini from scratch. looking for things like "HID\\VID_044F&PID_B687&REV_0110" deep in the OS. Geeze that made my head hurt. So finally I got my Full Hotas working, my game engine immersion was deep, never before had I experienced so such mech stompyness. I could overlook that they had shipped only half a game. Since then have watched some famous MW5 community youtubers play with a Keyboard and mouse. They are instant death. Switching targets in a eyeblink. Nailing instant snapshots at a 1000 m. I do believe with practice that I would be a much better player with a mouse, and If I was playing multiplayer competitive and the object was to play better there would be no option. But my objective is to escape in to the Inner sphere, and for that there is nothing that will take you there like a H.O.T.A.S and Pedals. If you are still playing MW5 with a mouse, you maybe Death Incarnate, and gaming the game, but you are doing it wrong.

After watching this again... there is no mention of infantry like in the teaser seen on Sarna. It might make the game 17+ or rated M, but these days anything that has to do with war should be... It would add to the liveliness of the cities and compounds you need to defend, it would also add to the carnage and actually have so-called anti-infantry close range weapons like machine guns and flamers be used as intended. There is sooooo much potential in this game that isn't there (recon missions, convoy escort, aerial or orbital defense elimination, dropship launch pad raids, more watery maps with patrol boats and destroyers, larger engagements while being able to field two lances or one lance and support vehicles like a platoon of tanks, destroying turret control towers that actually disable turrets, more field repair bays that lancemates can also use, etc.) Increase the minimum PC requirements if needed, but use the potential of the Unreal engine as well... some mods did fix a few things, but I feel much more can be done. The AI is another important aspect that should be worked on. I know it's probably one of the more difficult ones, but it can be improved. Instead of swarming with shit tons of pointless vehicles, using less tanks (with real armor values like one mod in particular) but more effectively such as actual battle formations, using tactics like the hull-down position, shoot and scoot, forward observation vehicles to initiate an real ambush (not spawning shit behind your back). Same for enemy Mechs... instead of spawning, have them shut-down in strategic locations, coming out of hangars or hot-dropping them anywhere else than on your face. So here, some constructive comments... hoping it gets heard, or better yet, that something like this is already in the works... I started playing with MW2 decades ago and all the following MW games and I really want to see this series deliver their true potential.

Since we have more time till the DLC releases can we have the return of the spherical dropships and multilance drops? Would be nice to get the old soundtracks remastered from the old Activision games that had outstanding intro background music for the clan and mercenary intros. Yeah, and while we our at it. Why can we change our merc company name but not our logo? Why can't we even design our own logo since it isn't like it is going to be all over online where you have to worry about profanity and other things? Where is capturing manufacturing facilities such as mech and weapon production? Gets annoying hopping all over the galaxy just to get a freaking ton of Ultra AC ammo.
