Great video, Thanks for giving the sizes of the bikes and the kids. It really helps trying to figure out which one fits your child.

I haven't done a video on it, but the MX500 is about the same size as the 650. It just doesn't have offset tire sizes.

Very good comparison. Appreciate the time you took going over all the details and esp the heights.

The top speed on the MX350 is definitely closer to 12mph in stock form. I remember seeing a video where they test the stock controller and it does not deliver the full voltage to the motor. Once my son and I upgraded the controller to a variable speed controller/throttle, the bike was noticeable faster. I drove next to my boy in my car and the top speed increased from about 13mph to a confirmed 16mph. It's a fairly cheap upgrade ($45 dollars or so), so I highly recommend it. It also a very easy install and does a better job at teaching throttle control than the On/Off throttle that come on the bike from the factory. They're very easy to find on eBay.

Which controller did you go with?
@nxdboi Жыл бұрын
@@InMn It was the was the FastScooters MX350 / MX400 Variable Speed Kit, or something like that. I believe the price has gone up since I purchased it, but it is still worth it IMO. Especially if you're trying to teach your kit the fundamentals.

The 650 fits this guy's son far better than the 350... Daughter is too big for the 650... Smaller real dirt bikes (Kawasaki, Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha / 110cc - 150cc) new is around $2500-$4000. Used bikes sell for half of that... Might be able to find an older one for $500-$800. Chinese dirt bikes are a great choice. SSR , Coolster , TaoTao are around $1800 new. Some gas 50cc dirt bikes are only $400-$500 new

Someone please answer me I have a son who has no experience with dirt bikes but has a lot of talent and experience on mountain bike, he is 5ft and 135 lbs. I am wondering if i should get him a MX650 or Mx500.
@TheSwampStalker3 жыл бұрын
He would have fun on the 650. But he might quickly outgrow it and be ready to upgrade to a gas powered bike.

I have been where you are. If it were me, I would go with the 500. It will last her at least a couple years, and if taken care of they have good resale value. No matter what you choose she will love it!

I have both these... 350 for a 3-5 year old,,, 650 for 7-9 year old.... My son is almost 12 & around 80# now and he still rides his 650..... It's.not the power or speed you should concern yourself with - its the geometry..... The bike needs to fit the size of the rider. A kid only needs to be able to plant 1 foot on the ground... Dragging feet is bad... Too big of an inexperienced rider results in more crashes as where a smaller rider on a larger big stays up & rolls over terrain far better
