I spent 20 years battling addiction before getting sober a few years ago. I have met hundreds of addicts over the years. They are all different ages, races, genders, and come from all walks of life. No matter what category they belonged to, they all had one thing in common. There was something they were running from. I was no different. That is one thing about addicts that is poorly understood. No one becomes an addict for no reason. The common denominator is trauma. Addiction is only the symptom of that trauma, and you can't fix the addict if you don't address the trauma. Nash said it best, and I don't think anyone ever got through to Scott. It's just so sad that he is more remembered for his failures than his numerous successes. Hall was one of the most talented and influential performers to ever step foot in the ring, and I choose to remember him for that. RIP Scott

Scott said in an interview that Vince had never seen or heard of Scarface or Tony Montana, so when he came in to Vince’s office to essentially sell him on why he should push him and looked at Vince and said the famous line “Say hello to the bad guy” he said Vince was in complete and total awe, that he was INSTANTLY hooked on the character and thought it was one of the greatest personas he’d ever seen, Scott started quoting lines from the movie and Vince legitimately believed he was coming up with it all on his own. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he never put two and two together if he ever even watched the movie. 17:36 is a clip from that interview

If wrestling hadn't changed where's kayfabe stayed strong but it didn't and as Bobby Heenan said many times, once they took out kayfabe everyone knows the tricks, wrestling became a shadow it was. So I loved Scott Hall sharing all the stories of how things went down. Especially during the 83 weeks of wrestling wars. It's sad a lot of the legends are no longer with us.
