Customer States: Engine barely runs and has a severe lack of power. It also has the occasional no start or long cranking before it starts. So far I've found vacuum leaks, clogged ports, antifreeze leaks from the water pump and the electric fan is damaged. I had the fuel pump, filter, spark plugs, ignition wires, and a distributor cap and rotor. It also has a new coolant temp sensor, O2 sensor, MAP, intake temp, IAC and throttle position sensor replaced. The ECM / PCM has been replaced too. See part one.

I've been watching your for over a year and I think this is my favorite series of videos yet. Not sure if you planned it this way, but I'm really enjoying the mix of single-video fixes on other vehicles and then coming back to the long-term project every couple of days. I have such nostalgia for this flavor Jeep. Had an 89 Wrangler Islander back in High School. I say rebuild those back brakes too since we are already this far into it, at least the cylinders you saw had a little bit of fluid leaking under the seals. I'd love to see you get to a level with this channel that you could have sub give-a-ways for rebuild work like this. Hi Ray! I finally subscribed and I hope you get every one of the subscribers you need for the Jeep project! I’ve been watching you for a year and have enjoyed every minute of all your posts. Why has it taken me so long? A year ago I was diagnosed with stage 2 cancer and found myself post surgery laying in bed, healing from a bunch of stomach wounds and watching all of your antics. You’re an absolute hoot! Right now I’m cancer free and should stay that way. My son Tommy and I have a really cool shop. We’re back out there again and every time we are, I always think of you. We got back to life wrenching on things and running half marathons (2nd hobby). Why I write all this stuff is that besides all the things we learn from you, you’re touching peoples lives in a lot of positive ways and giving hope. For this, I can’t thank you enough!!

While my background is in electronic repairs, watching your videos has helped me be more confident in taking on jobs. My refrigerator quit two days ago. Under my Home warranty plan, I would be waiting for two weeks to get Sears here and still pay $75 deductible. I decided to jump into the repair and find some Rainman equivalent KZbinrs to watch. That made it pretty basic and simple. I'm glad I jumped into it myself. It turned out to be a broken wire due to a rodent chewing the wire to the compressor's starter relay. A quick soldering to the wire and it's working fine today and saved me $75.

You mean there's anything left of the entity known as Sears, after that d.bag Eddie Lampert stripped everything he could from it, selling off anything of value (often, to himself for no actual cash, like the real estate, then leasing it back to Sears at ruinous rates), and generally destroying the company? I'm still surprised that a former Sears employee - or creditor - hasn't gone down to Florida or wherever that SOB is this week... and put a bullet through his head.

Keeping trying to make that arm work! That's the only way to regain any level of function. When my wife had a left side PCA stroke she couldn't really read anymore. Couldn't understand the words she could read. We started ware children start, kids books. It took time but she relearned to read. Not as fast as pre-stroke, but good enough to go back to school. 2 years later she enrolled in classes to become a LPN nurse. She passed her NCLEX state exam on the first try at age 53, and has been employed as a LPN nurse ever since. So keep at it. You never how many new neuro pathways your brain can make unless you try. Hey Ray! Have you thought about a donation button or something for clients that need work but cannot afford it? You can get donations and use them to pay for the parts that people need. It may also be a good tax break for you. But mainly, it is for the community to help people who are having trouble paying for repairs or are on a tight budget. Keep up the great work! I've been watching this series with much interest, as I'm a Cherokee driver and a couple of my buddies are YJ Wrangler drivers. One suggestion we have is regarding the shock you installed on the right rear. At least one of the YJ owners and myself have had our exhaust melt our shock boot. The only solution we had was to flip the shock so the boot was on the bottom. It's a bit scary having smoke coming from the back and suddenly realizing you're melting plastic on your exhaust.

There is refillable brake cleaner systems... We had them when I was a Technician at Lexus. Basically you take a 55 gallon drum of brake clean, attach a filling station that uses shop air to charge the refillable bottles. Was awesome not having to worry about running out in the middle of a job. The fill station work with all kinds of "bulk" fluids, so can always start with 5 gallon drums and work your way up, if it's too expensive to get a whole drum of fluid in one shot.
