Mike Anderson gave Arkansas the foundation to be great. I’ll never forget.

Those UNC clips had me irrationally angry. Never forget. Great video. I'll miss seeing Mike on the sidelines. He was such a fantastic representative for the state and the university.

Imagine what we could've done though if we beat them. That could've been a National team, uhg.

It was nice you even uploaded some highlights from a defeat in this video! I think we played great when we lost to North Carolina!

I feel like a couple of years of over achieving would've saved Mike Anderson his job. Best wishes to coach A with St. John's. Excited for this year aboard the muss bus. Gonna be a battle with the lack of size in sec competition, interested in how it all turns out. P.S.: Gafford should've stayed

ARKANSAS- WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE COACH ANDERSON!

I had hoped he would be Nolan Lite, bringing the former coach's intensity without the baggage. It was not to be. He had 3 years longer than either of his predecessors but didn't get the job done. He's a class act as a man but a mediocre coach. The fact that he never had a losing season is not as impressive as it may seem. You could be 16-14 for ten years and say the same thing. Greatness and "not being terrible" are not the same thing!

Well, he was sure better than Pelphrey. The lack of road wins and especially SEC road wins was infuriating. Good dude, but I think he was too much of an “old man” coach and failed to focus on analytics. He too often was out coached but there were some really good moments. The inconsistency and lack of attention to detail are what doomed him, I believe.

@@markusaurelius7299 Mike Anderson was a class act the entire time here and even was during his departure. He and his family came back for the ceremony where they named the court after Nolan Richardson. The basketball program was an absolute mess when he got here, and even though he didn't take us back to where we were in the 90s, there's no doubt he left the program way better than when he arrived. He was a good hire and a good coach for us.

The most moment in the Mike Anderson era is when he was fired. Not a good coach. Nice likable man, but that is not why he was hired or fired.

I loved Mike too but he just couldn't get it done
@Doc9033 жыл бұрын
To be fair, he came into a program that was a mess. No, we didn't get back to our 90's prestige, but he left the program in far better shape.
