Unfortunately, it’s functionally a democracy. You can thank the 17th amendment for that. Senators shouldn’t be directly elected and there should be a State level electoral college to stop big cities from dominating entire States. They should also go back to having property requirements for voting so that only people with skin in the game have a say. The US was never meant to have ridiculous things like universal suffrage.

Those numbers are inflated. Every time a child is reported missing it is added to the numbers, one child can be added multiple times in a year. The numbers also do not tell you how many of those children were found, only reported.
