"anyone can issue you money if it wasn't through a central bank" - this is possibly the biggest if not one of the biggest value's of Bitcoin. It is like cash, except you can transact globally, without the fee's and intervention of a middleman or bank. Please look into it more rather than laughing about not understanding it. The current US politics and potential supporting policy for the adoption of Bitcoin and crypto more widely are a great thing for peoples independence and abilities to transact globally as they see fit, and having people who understand it obviously critical to adoption in Australia. People who say "it does not have value" have been consistently proven wrong for the past 12+ years by Bitcoin, having tremendous value that increases over time. A lack of understanding and ignorance are nothing to laugh about...
