I chased the last circus train all day out of West Virginia on its last run. Sad. Our family went to the circus every year and I have tons of circus train videos that I made in Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia.

I've seen "The Greatest Show On Earth" and being one of the bigger circuses, I got to look inside to see how they treated these animals, and I can say it is with care. The wilder animals such as elephants, lions, zebras, are taken to specific farms when they are not in show (which sadly they are in show a lot) but when they are no longer suitable for preforming, they are taken to animal care or zoo's instead of being slaughtered. Although they might not be able to live as natural as wild animals live, they are still treated like I guess you can say, a domestic animal, with care, food, grooming, and no more pain than a natural whip, which for most animals is just a sting to remind them what they should be doing. I'm not saying I'm for animal's in circuses, but I will say these guys handle them with more care then I have seen with other circuses. They all have specific handlers that know what the animals need.

I took a guided tour through North Korea and I can tell you that it's a great place and people are treated with care. I know the UN gives them a hard time but I saw no human rights violations while I was there. That's how stupid you sound.

One of the RBBB units hit Denver every year when I lived there. I had a friend who modeled the train, and would change the cars every year to match that year's train! When I was young, Royal American Shows came to my area every June: almost 100 cars with a carnival bigger than some amusement parks!

I don't understand why they are hauling the horses in their bridles. Because there is no change of tack it means the horses are tied in the trailer with the rope attached to the bit. Any good horseman knows to never ever ever tie a horse with the lead attached to the bit, it is very dangerous. No one that is a horse professional would do this.

+Supermom Flyaway The first ones getting off the train and going into the trailer have no halter on under the bridle. The handlers bring the horses in the trailer one at a time and when they come out they are not holding the bridle. You don't have to be in the trailer to figure that one out.

I am pretty sure they did not let them graze while waiting for the safety of the horses. The right away area around the tracks can be pretty nasty, there's usually trash and other nasty debris that could harm a horse. Not to mention the fact that many areas like that are sprayed with weed killer.

Do you know that they don't hit the elephants with the bull hooks, they prod them. The skin is between 1 and 2 inches thick. And why would anyone hurt the thing that makes the show great? Everything an elephant does in the show is a natural act that they mostly know already; give the animal some credit for being smarter than YOU are, Christina.
