No private job comes with a starting package of 30 lakhs annually unless you're among the top performers that too in a tier I college. And that's also not a guarantee you'll get this kind of salary, security and W/L balance. In case of RBI Grade B, all you have to do is pass one competition and you'll directly belong to that league within a year. Even if you go to IIM-A it doesn't guarantee a 30+ lakh package. Very few candidates receive it that too those who held some prior experience in some specific domain get that mostly. For a normal person, starting salary in private sector is around 3-4 LPA with some tech skills and 2 LPA and even lower for non tech skills. There are people working for literally 12-15 thousand per month which is equivalent to spectacles allowance of Grade B manager.

Bhaiya I'm 23 now. Working as SDE 1 at Amazon. My current CTC is 45.5 LPA. And take home pay is around 1.55 lakhs.. in monetory terms Amazon may be far better than govt. Job but I think other benefits like loans, children education and many other things are great in govt. Jobs. + The job security 👍... Work life balance is also great in top MNCs and we have flexibility in working. Both are white collar jobs. Different people may have different perspective. I choose to settle with MNC job coz I love the work culture here. And I think I'm not underpaid here.

@@Victor_sierra22 I work as a Software Engineer in a top MNC myself. My father is a retired Govt officer. So I know both the pros and cons of both types of jobs. Agar tum nahi jaante to kum se kum pahle jan kee ko kosish karo aur phir comment karo. Thinking that all govt employees just do time pass in office and take free ka salary is absolutely wrong. They also toil late nights when needed. They also do over time and life threating jobs (police, forest department, defense forces, fire department, hospital staff and many more) unlike corporate jobs where you work in air conditioned and 5 star hotel type environments. Now a days the govt job employees also need to perform well in their offices to get promotions and allowances. They don't have the luxury of working from home like we have. I agree the learning and challenges in corporate jobs is more where you need to always meet to in order to survive. If you excel then you get more money and afford a lavish life. But for that you need to sacrifice your personal family time and helath to some extent. Also there are other factors like politics and how the company performs revenue wise as a whole. But again ye i agree with you ki apne aap ko bhagwan samjho. Yes many govt job holders think like that because of the power they have. Misutilize karte hain power ko and then corruption karte hai. So my comment was on that context. I firmly believe both types jobs have pros and cons. It is up to you what you need in life.

There are many friends of mine who are 30 yrs of age still 'preparing' for govt job as they think it is below their dignity to work in private. They don't know we get paid more than 40lacs per year which is around level 13 /14 pay of govt which only 0.001 perct govt employee get. When I ask them why are you wasting ur youth solving LCM/HCF (he is preparing for bank clerk) which even class 8th student can solve., He says once I get inside , I won't have to take 'headache' , i can absolutely chill and enjoy my 30k per month. People waste enite 20 to 30 years after graduation for these time pass job just cause they get that 'permanent' wali feeling. Nowadays there are guys retiring at 35 and these people havnt even got their first salary at 31 yrs!!! They think they are entitled for a job from govt. It is not govt duty to give them a job. Get into real market and show ur skill and take the job!!

How can house rent allowance be 60k? It is calculated as 12,16 or 20% of basic. A person with nearly 70k basic can't have more than 70*0.2= 14k as HRA.There is certainly some misinformation. This HRA informed is either wrong or it is shown as some arrear, which is definitely not monthly.

House Rent allowance is not given to RBI officers as Part of Salary, it is credited to House Owner's account if RBI officers wants to live in other place which is not RBI quarters. U should not add HRA of 60k In salary slip, it comes under Perks.

RBI Grade B is a good Job profile. But its a dull job with excessive simple working lifestyle. My grandfather was an RBI employee ( Clerk ) but trust me its good for kaamchor people , my words may be harsh but its true. Currently I am pursuing MD in Pharmacology from a reputed medical college in Uttar Pradesh, my stipend is 1.10 Lakh, and I completely save it. I do private practise in different diagnostic centres in evening and earn nearly 60 to 70 k monthly, which I use for my expenses. In my opinion RBI employees including my Grandfather are overpaid, My grandfather who is 82 years old draws a pension of Rs. 78000/- monthly. Salaries are way too high in RBI. It should be reduced to create more vacancy.
