so inspiring! i could watch videos like this all day, peoples live set ups with hardware really fascinate me. go her for committing to the zoom, r16. and also, throw out the rules, sure it’s a backing track, but she made all the music. and is that tatsuya in the background? awesome! and she’s using the mono tribe he INVENTED i love seeing how people make things work for them especially if they have a quirky different way of thinking, not just “it must be elektron”.

"Im not a gear freak" Yeah thats apparent by the two Electribes in front of you. LOL. Its really cool what she does with the equipment she has. Mad respect for the way that her number one focus is the music.. she doesn't care that she doesn't have the best gear, she doesn't care that she looks like a noob to the other synth community (dicks), she doesn't care that she needs a backing track, she just wants to do her thing. Even though I don't LOVE her music, I can respect what she does. "Ill show you what I do when i sing" Continues to talk into the mic for 20 min about sweaty balls and work. thanqol which version of the electribe does he use? I know a lot of people swear by the older versions. I prefer the tube version over the new ones myself. No matter how many improvements they make, I personally prefer the digitakt sampler over this.
@thanqol6 жыл бұрын
@@modularmountain3910 There are videos on KZbin that show him using the old ones (EMX?) in the past. There are more recent ones showing him using the Electribe 2 Sampler. When I saw him perform in May, he had two 'tribes, one was definately a Sampler, the other one might have been as well.
@modularmountain39106 жыл бұрын
@@thanqol Don't get me wrong. Having 16 tracks to manipulate samples is pretty cool, but something about the NEW electribes and the Novation Circuit don't "float my boat" sound wise. Not to mention the build quality amongst previous years was way better. I had my Electribe two for about 4 months before I sold it (Kaoss pad scratched after the first day), I had the first version of electribe for about 3 years, and the newer (EMX) one for about 1.5 years. Ultimately I sold them all in my online store for other gear. Its been a cool experience though because now I just have the gear I use and love. That being said I have heard people do really cool things with electribes over all generations but its just not for me. I'm not sure if it was the build quality, the workflow (Elektron workflow seems to make natural sense to me), or the sound quality, but something about it....
