Flux can cause corrosion in the long run but does clean off any contaminants and makes for a good solder joint in the interim...so I'm told. P.S. nice build. Can't wait to see it complete.

Really cool video awesome production, but I love your builds because they’re not set in stone. You’re not afraid to design as you go! What’s even more cool is you consider ideas from your subscribers!! And you’re even humble enough to admit that you don’t know everything!! Amazing WOW 😮 WOW 😲!!! I’d i’d rather push a FORD than drive a Chevy!!!!! So don’t even say it I know what you weird chevy guys are gonna say!! So my answer to you is …… {I know you are but what am I!!}… …🤔😱🤪🤪🤪🤪😜🤪🤪 Thanks 🙏

Medic you did a fine soldering job. Generally if you use good 60\40 rosin core solder you have plenty of flux in the core of the solder wire. The main thing when tinning (IMO) is having a hot enough iron and tilting the wire downward so the solder doesn't flow up into the wire. In and out like a ninja and your golden! Thanks for the great vids brotha!

Last one is to your link/steer setup. 4 linked front is great setup which works very well, but not with servo on the frame. SCX frame, even it is quite stable is not stable enough from side to side. Once the servo pulls the wheels it will also pull the frame to side in oposit direction which leads to lesser steering and overloads shock and link mounts. This should solve a panhard rod. Another issue with servo on frame is bump steering which will also overload the servo. Anyway ... good job man!

Hi Medic, I would try to drill inner wheel more to fit around the axle and attach dual wheels using the outer one (maybe using some longer hexes). Can't say now if it is possible and if it won't have problem with clearance to suspension, but it would look more scale if there will be smaller difference between front and rear width.
@nitrotruggyracing14713 жыл бұрын
soldering tip for ya, get some smaller solder, it melts easier. also, solder already has some flux into it, so adding more on the actual wire almost dosent do anything, learning how to solder without flux also makes you a better solder, one more thing, use a bigger tip, it helps the wire get hotter faster. hope this helps, loved the vid!
@UmyNEPHEW13 жыл бұрын
you should put four bolts in each dually tire. I think it would look cooler. also it would make them heaver for a better COG and traction. just a thought o yeah were did you get that sweet four link set up??
@mrsillyname13 жыл бұрын
Hey Medic just a thought you should try using the plastic braided cable covering that computer builders use on R/C stuff. They are very slick looking and way better than the corrugated plastic car wire covers (split loom). Just an idea for you to try if you like. Take care and keep up the awesome videos!
@cowboy07236913 жыл бұрын
Hey Medic. . I would go for the adjustable C-Hubs. its what I had to do.. so you can still have the drive line angle but your steering would be more level. .I swear are are project here is so much the same.

I like the rear being up higher. Will lower down with the trailer on it anyways. My question is. What are you gonna do to the body to make it look like a dually?
@DANIELKREVO13 жыл бұрын
Hi, great rig so far, but you got me thinking, you did not plasti-dip the posts because of heat dispersion, but won´t the heat shrink tubing do the same effect?

nice rig man! it looks sick you should try and make the rear fenders stick out like a real dully. and if you wont to get technical you can have the orange teardrop lights at the top. great build im ready to see more

Hey Medic, earlier i commented suggesting to get the dirt grabbers. I dont know your exact intentions on what this truck is going to do. i know you said its your puller. but once you put on the dually tires you said think how hard it will be to tip over on the trail. idk but i was just scanning over rc4wd again and saw they had some new 1.7 scale mickey thompson baja atz. They look so cool in my opinion and i know its your truck do what you want, its just a suggestion. Love that truck id buy it
@hammell55713 жыл бұрын
LOOK HERE nice!... ford body good pic medic, an vid, but i have a question..... are you gonna make a trac bar for the front end of your truck? if so you will need a three link in the front so it will have some lateral movement, it binds when has four link an doesnt want to move as much as the three link,
@jerabekj13 жыл бұрын
Other suggestion from my own experience - make the puller really heavy. You can afford it with such torque and you need it to sucessfully pull loaded trailer. I have trailer made from alu, but it is still pretty heavy. Once I load my Losi MRC (pretty heavy too), my Honcho start to have problems with traction and pull the trailer uphill on dust is almost impossible. I needn't to say that my 2,2 Honcho is quite heavy truck.

@JuniorPros11813 жыл бұрын
hey since its gonna be a dually, are you going to make the wheel wells wider? It would look weird if their was a tire on each side sticking out. know what i mean?
@OldIronRC13 жыл бұрын
Medic, what are the rims you used for the dualies please? I have been trying to figure out how to join some Maximizer 1.9 bead locks with Flat Irons on them, but the ones you use look far better and easier to join up. Great video, mmmmmmm, brain food.
@PontiacGT20113 жыл бұрын
Medic quick question you covered the heat post on the fxr with heat shrink. is that still gonna let them give off heat good?

@RandomRollersPA12 жыл бұрын
hay medic so ive been watching your videos and this stuff is really cool i wouldnt have the patients for this stuff lol. but for your heat shrink over the capasator problem what i always do is cut a slit in it to move over the wire for it but you still can cover your solider joint.....just my 2 cents :)
@hnx1813 жыл бұрын
make sure you make the fenders on the back for the dually tires for more scale looks

Hey medic, keep up the vids man I didn't see the dually coming, think its amazing, look into wheel spacers so the front wheels sit right about in the middle of the two rear wheels, if you know what I mean, and maybe a wide body kit for the rear end so it doesn't have a tire sticking out both sides :/ lol
@suhaibchobi13 жыл бұрын

hey medic you should extend the frame and add double duals on it (it would look cool with tank tracks to) and to balance it just add some simple waits on the front of the frame (or in the front tires) please add chevy frame (CHEVY IS THE BEST JUST SAYIN)
@Beaten4.813 жыл бұрын
@djmedic2008 ive got a suggestion, when youre doing the final paint job and details, you should build it as a rescue/search and retrieve style truck, so if your wifes rig ever gets stuck, you can go in after it. like have a winch on the back to, (just an idea) i was watching the Wraith mud bog video and this idea just sort of came to me so i thought id pass it along.
