I bought those Drive Shaft collars this weekend!! They are awesome!!!! I had to ask Martin from RCBitz how to put them on, and he told me to put them on exactly the way you did. So we both win!!!

Awesome vid Aaron this is Jon from Lethbridge. Glad to see the vids again. I check you tube multiple times a day looking for your new vids. I think the stock axles will fix your hop in the front. I have the same problem when I run the integy shocks with the MIPs on my SCX. The MIP's can't run as steep of an angle as the stock driveshafts. If you want to run the MIP's up front if that's what's causing the hop like it did mine then you'll have to lengthen the upper 4 links up front to clock/tip t

Great vid! love the new studio! maybe you could run some 1/10 monster truck tires instead of doing the duallies. that will give you plenty of traction, but still look kind of scale. maybe some trenchers or badlands.

if you want to lube the drive shaft use diesel fuel because dirt wont stick to the diesel, it might even help keep it clean.
@beachcomber53513 жыл бұрын
Hey buddy. Just a point on driveshafts - the angle that the universals are working on needs to be the same at each end of the driveshaft, otherwise the diff will speed up and slow down twice every driveshaft revolution, causing a bad vibration. This may be the cause of your "jittering"
@RCInMotion13 жыл бұрын
Hey what we do in Cali for the drive shaft, like u said people say it comes loose. We take a dremal and take that lip on the metal yoke and grind it down that way it's closer to that output shaft and with only one grub screw it holds it in place. I've been using one grub screw with an LRP brushless system and it hasnt backed out at all.

@djmedic2008 How about putting some silicone spray(without acetone duh) on the drive shafts and letting it dry before assembly/use . It helps repel dirt/dust/water and also helps prevent binding on plastic to plastic parts.
@RichieD08813 жыл бұрын
Hi Medic.and friends, part #16270 black&decker screw extractor set work great!. A set of 5, in our industry, you will only be using the #1 and #2,good for 1.5 to 4mm. U also need a straight ,I prefe,or a t-handle, tap handle.Often you don't even need to drill the head, or use the according drill bit, and drill the head less than 1/2mm deep..Less than a 1/2 turn counterclock wise,the extractor will start removing the screw, even lock-tited in aluminum, effortlessly. Give them a try Bud..

Will those locks that go on the drive shafts work on boats? because i have an MTB with 3 props, and i had them come undone before... really annoying. So just wondered if they worked. Cheers... Also, i hope to make a video of my drifting soon as you were the one who first got me hooked on R/C cars as before i was mainly on the boats. Dave AKA Lord Vondant on Forums.

@djmedic2008 Had a can of silicone in my rc car box and it sprayed all over when I was in the process of moving now all my plastic parts are shiny and repel dirt/dust/water. Areas with a lot of movement have to be reapplied after a few uses but it works for me. Just make sure you read the label if it says not for use on plastic, they means it. It will make the plastic brittle and crack due to the acetone.

@madmatt9797 The difference in the 2 r one is Ready to Run. The other is a kit w/ aluminium links. The rtr has plastic links. But the kit u have to buy the electronics that u like. To me I would do the RTR 2.4 radio. Plastic links don't get hung up on rocks. Delrin would be the best option. Remember that the parts medic is using r hope up parts to better the performance which he chooses, depends on what ur gonna be doing. Such as Project overkill hope up parts for all that torque :0)

How come a lot of people don't use the Punisher Drive shafts? I've had mine for two years and now there on my second SCX10 since I literally ran my first SCX10 to pieces now, a chunk of solid steel will be your best friend. Well, I reckon 40 bucks a drive shaft is expensive but you definitely get what you paid for, for these drive shafts.
