It's simply shocking to see how much stock they have standing by for their customers and their fellow hobbyists! I have listed the address below, in case you need it.

Jem and I are out and about exploring the Palm Desert/Palm Springs area (California, USA).. and when we found this hobby store we knew we had to stop and take some film. Yes, I filmed this with an iPhone 6, as I had my main cameras back in Canada. Im always shocked at the quality of these mobile filming machines! Heck, we were even able to shoot in HD at 60fps!
At Uncle Dons Hobbies, they seem to have you covered. Whether it be for Trains, Airplanes, Off Road vehicles, Quad Copers, or Boats.. they have something for everybody! Their helpful and friendly demeanour makes walking through their front door a real pleasure.. and their website certainly puts a smile on your face as they chat about their staff in a playful way that is certainly smile worthy!
We were met at the door with hand-shakes and a plethora of helpful tips and tricks.. they were certainly there to ensure that we had a great experience from the time we arrived to the time we said our good byes. Heck, I even was able to get one of their custom painted bodies shipped back home to Canada.
We look forward to re-visiting them in the coming years.

Dang, watching this makes me miss my former local hobby shop even more. When the video was posted in ‘15 the store was just closing. That was devastating for me because I loved their indoor clay track, and the store was not even five minutes from my house, so it was easy to go and get parts and get back RCing quickly. Such a shame when they have to close. Always support your local hobby shops!

A while ago one of my family members owned this as his family hobby shop. I'm not sure who exactly he was in relation to me though, or in general. He sold the shop before retirement (I believe) though. It's kinda cool to think RC was in my family before I my parents even met.

Was literally on vacation in Palm Springs from San Diego, CA Last week! Love going to my timeshare there and it was really fun! This hobby shop is really good! I was in there last tuesday! and purchased a battery that sadly didn't work out but they made it right!

I have the Dromida Ominus, and it is almost indestructible. It's great for indoors and out, and even in 20kph winds. Very easy to fly and lots of fun.

Great promo vid for a local hobby shop and I agree 110% in supporting your local hobby shop we just lost our last hobby shop in town last fall, now its a 35 min drive to our nearest shop. That "Radian" glider actually is a "Super glider"! It's one of the easiest to fly, due to it's beautiful curved "polyhedral" wings. It's still available now since it's a best selling. They even have a Night Radian, which has a shed load of leds along the wings etc.

Is this the first time you made it to uncle dons hobbies? I used to live in desert hot springs California and I would drive to uncle dons for all my hobby needs. Actually I was freaking out because the guys in the store buying parts are my old rc buddies!! We hung out all the time driving rc cars and making KZbin videos. Little did they know they were standing next to an rc legend and his beautiful wife. Take a trip to Visalia California so I can show you our hobby shop ! And meet you :)

Pretty cool to see that shop in a video; it really peaked before it closed down. that store use to be less than half that size; stayed like that for most of my childhood. it felt like you were walking into a closet packed full of rc cars and trains.

The Rare Bear rc plane you briefly looked at is actually based on a real race modified F8F-2 Bear cat. It used to race in the event called "Reno air races" in Reno NV. Theres lots of videos of the Reno Air Races on KZbin it's quite the sight to see.

You should visit AMR in boucherville right next to montreal. Mostly planes but what a store. Anything you might want for an airplane they sure have it !
