Outrunners are cool for land vehicles. Lots of torque, and because there are so many poles, they act like brushed or sensored brushless motors in terms of slow speed control, too. I've kinda wanted to see what would happen if you took a low KV outrunner on high voltage (enough that RPM would be the same) and ran it against a normal 17.5 setup. Would it be cooler temps? Longer battery life? More stable power across the existing battery life? More punch but less top speed? IDK, but if anyone tries it (looking at you, Jason!) lemme know!
