I was a little offput by it. Reminds me more of an AT-6 where the prop tip speed was going supersonic but the plane is just pokin around. However it is awesome sounding my associative scale sound gripes aside and is a beautiful aircraft as well. A reminder that I don't have an artsy hair on my body when you compare that plane to any of mine. You should have seen my model railroading experiences. I wired them really well, built my own speed controllers, but applying scenery to structure? Might as well just laid track down on a piece of plywood.🤣 Oh well, I can grow green beans, corn, potatos AND I've got 32 chickens, so there!😂 What I'm trying to say is, Beautiful plane AND he flys it well.

Truly Beautiful Corsair. We had a neighbor in Leawood (KC) KS in the late 70's (while I was in college) who had flown Marine Corsair (VMF) Nightfighters during WW2. Imagine returning at night (like he did) to a carrier which is almost pitch black--while enemy bombers are hoping to see your carrier and sink it. At least this video allows the superb engine sounds to dominate at times. I

The Corsair wasn't just beautiful, it was badass. When most prop planes were getting pulled from service, this plane kept on raiding and helped make life miserable for the Chinese and North Korean armies. A testimony to the folks who designed and built it (the legendary B-29 was another of the rare prop holdouts during the Korean War).

That three blade prop makes all the difference. Why do other 400cc Moki WW2 fighter models stick to 2 blade props when, clearly, 3 or 4 blades are historically correct?
@adrianlarkins72596 жыл бұрын
I know that but when you go to such lengths to achieve authenticity the right prop should be fitted. Such listen to this model, FANTASTIC.
@drfiberglass6 жыл бұрын
3 bladed props have better bite than 2 blade...
@darkjedi745 жыл бұрын
What’s even more distinctive than the 3-bladed prop (4-blades on some), was the massive 13-foot diameter prop on the actual Corsair. It is painfully obvious on so many Corsair models when the prop diameter isn’t to scale.
@robepley27095 жыл бұрын
Gentlemen, Though a three or four blade prop on a Corsair or a Mustang or any other fighter is more appropriately correct and obviously much more scale. It is important to keep in mind one huge deciding factor. Two blade props are much more efficient than a three or four blade prop. An rc engine just can not produce the efficiency and power to turn a three or four blade prop like their full grown counterparts could. Weight on the nose and power of an rc just can not compete with full scale. That is why many of you will see warbird "flown" with a two blade prop.
@darkjedi745 жыл бұрын
Rob Epley Oh certainly true enough. I have the RealFlight R/C simulator for my laptop, which allows me to make edits to R/C aircraft. You have to go to great lengths to get a scale prop diameter on the Corsair in that simulator, and I have no doubt, you have to go to similar lengths for an R/C model in real life. And the smaller the model, the tougher it is. All the more reason to truly appreciate it when someone makes a model such as this one.
