I am in CA. People here wear full on winter gear at 57 degrees. I am originally from the Tundra of Illinois. It is constantly funny to me to see people bundled up here.

10-4 I'm from Montana. Worked in the central valley of California for two years. People would come to work in insulated coveralls at 36 degrees. I found it funny how they were freezing. When it's -30 here and it warms up 30 above we are in long sleeve shirts loving it.

Acclimation. I've worn a tank top in the snow, I've also had my fingers turning blue at 30f in california. I'm freezing my ass off right now, but I spent all summer out working in 115-120f heat.

i'd like to see you take one of the warbirds (ideally, a navy one...) and do arrested landings on a like a driveway or couple sheets of plywood, and devise some sort of arrestor system to catch a tail hook.....(peter's heli-carrier just sitting on the ground.....at first anyways...) along with that, some sort of short launch catapult like carrier's use....

Variations on a theme, 1, Touch down on a tea towel. When that gets too easy - 2. Arrested landings - two bean bags ties to about 4' of string sitting on a 4x8 sheet of plywood. A tail hook bent out of a coat hanger and attached to the main landing gear of a nose wheel trainer should work. If you use a tail dragger you will need to add an attach point behind the cg. If you want to up the pucker factor put the plywood sheet up on a picnic table to punish low approaches.

Great update guys. It would be great to see your kids in more videos in the future. It was a video with your kids in it that really helped me "sell" the hobby to a friend as an activity his whole family would enjoy. Lots of people seem to be complaining about the advertisements in the videos being too long. My response to this is: It takes more money than you can imagine to not only maintain an outfit like Flitetest but to also keep it moving forward so I understand that paid commercials are a necessary evil. Also, don't people know that you can skip the commercials if you wish? I always watch the beginning of the commercials to see if it involves a product or company I would be interested in. If it doesn't interest me I simply skip the commercial just like I do on other KZbin commercials. Looking forward to another great year as part of the Flitetest family.

I hope weather has been nicer to you guys than it was for us last night! I'm in Montreal, Canada, and we also had 2 very nice and warm (yet very rainy) days, which were super appreciated... All snow melted away... but we got 15 cm (thats like almost 6 inches) of snow during the night. Screw you, mother nature! Screw you!

Great video! Try a carrier landing challenge. Build a scale aircraft carrier deck with plywood and fashion some arrester gear and some tailhooks on a plane, or use jets to make it even more extreme!
