Love this conversation and the points of view on Coach Prime and his program. One thing: Prime is about confidence, discipline, hard work, faith and cleanliness (no drugs, no alcohol, no legal trouble ever). I’m willing to accept confidence at the level of arrogance anytime when it’s paired with those other qualities.

R C they’re confident not arrogant. These young men work hard and understand and know their abilities because they are working hard!!!!! R. C. Understand what you are trying to say but you’re not quite there. The way you describe them is comparable to “be humble, stay in your place”.

This was the best way to end this episode; RC speaking on behalf of Chan, straight from the horses mouth...."No matter what he does; I'm with him when he's right and imma be with him when he's wrong in public"!!!!! That's real talk👌🏽 This reminds me of the solid "BROTHERHOOD" K. Hart has with his brothers, the men he trusts⁉️💯 % This unbreakable "BROTHERHOOD" bond is needed to show today's young men who to trust and how to trust your circle with your family and livelihood✌🏽💚

I disagree with Ryan's view of it being arrogant... That is a personal perspective. It is confidence in themselves. They ARE not disrespecting other teams or players through their expeession of that confidence. And, for Fred to make reference to off field behavior... Their football players have the highest gpa they have ever had and commonly ppl comment on the good character of the players. What happened before the game, was the build-up of the vitriol started by CSU coach, and in turn CU team letting you know it was personal. I agree, both coaches could have reeled this in. And, Channing, was the only one on this topic that knew what was up.
@Godaerentalos Жыл бұрын
Nah it is a certain degree of arrogance. If this was another school from a different cultural background and they started flashing Rolex watches and talking about “going Brady mode”, EVERYBODY would be checking them and give them the same type of hate.

@@Godaerentalos DIfferent times, ... no different than when Ali spoke with confidence he was viewed as arrogant, even though it was all entertainment, which this game is, and he was one of the most humble ppl ever

@@acenewb1e What do you mean different times? And Please do not compare Muhammad Ali to a bunch of unproven 20-something year old college kids.
@anonymousbiscuit5799 Жыл бұрын
@@Godaerentalosthen you have no clue who Ali really was, he was just like this in his 20's so what are you even talking about. You guys love using Ali like he wasn't a massive shi* talker in his 20's. These kids aren't doing anything different then when Duke was a power house and all them white superstars were talking crazy shi*. Same with UNC. Where was all this talk when JJ was at Duke or Tyler at UNC. The difference is media choice not to cover those guys real attitude off the court or day to day leading up to every game. I was in NC when all those guys got there and all of them and I mean all of them were wayyyyy worst then what you seeing from CU. Philip Rivers was an absolute azzhole and showoff at NC State but again no one followed them around because of the times. Let's just cut it out like we haven't seen this before. Remember those old Nebraska football teams, my old brother went there when they were a power house and the QB was a show boating fool.

My favorite podcast and I never comment but the conversation about chubb and Fitzpatrick was so needed. Definitely respect Fred's take but RC articulated the mindset of a defender, more specifically a DB, so accurately. Especially the rule change, strike zones and offense (most often RB's) using their heads to initiate contact more often than not rendering defensive guys at the mercy of a referees discretion.

I understand what they're saying about hitting big backs up high cause I had the same philosophy when I played from 4th-12th grade. We had a big running back and there's no way I was hitting big Shawn Rowe up high, NEVER!!!!! He was over 200lbs running a 4.4/40 yard dash. There's only exceptional players that can do that, I wasn't exceptional in that way. Not too many Ronnie Lotts are created in this world!💯
