Thanks! It does create a very cool effect in the light, several colors change or appear different when the pearls shift.

Oh nice! You drift up at DARC? I don't run this body anymore, but if you see me up there, come on over and say hello. I have several bodies that I switch out, hard to say what I'll be driving, lol I'm usually the one crashing. Happy drifting! Thanks for watching!

Great paint Job but how did you actually do it as each stage just magically appears???.

Sick azz paint and creative design. Def gonna do something similar, after a year, still holding up?
@shawn_of_the_shred5 ай бұрын
Thanks so much, greatly appreciated. Yeah, absolutely, the paint held up beautifully. The body not so much. This Z was from a newer company and was a little thicker poly than is traditional, so it cracked in several places instead of absorbing impacts. You can check out the damage in my Santaizi 350z Review video (link below), it shows the cracks that travel halfway up the body, but no chipping of any paint! It's now on a display chassis and has been retired. 350z Shell Review kzbin.info/www/bejne/ppS1eaqvjLxmmZY

shame you didn't show how to do it, just outcome of each step...
@shawn_of_the_shred Жыл бұрын
Honestly, if I included the step by step, this would have been a twelve part video. There was lots of hours put into this splatter work, and it will ultimately depend on what you want it to look like. I can create a video to show the steps, but honestly that is also where the creativity comes in. Do you want to mask yours, splatter only two colors, just within a confined set of racing stripes, do some drips to accent it? It really comes down to preference. However, I will definitely be creating additional splatter bodies, so be on the lookout for upcoming videos, as it might provide additional insight and details that would be helpful. If there is anything specific you would like to know, please leave it in the comments and I will do my best to provide a clear answer or include it in an upcoming video. 👍 👀 Custom splatter painted Traxxas Rustler body upcoming!
