The 4PM has Gyro Sync and Gryo Mix and both have adjustments for ST-GAIN. I wonder if they are the same setting and how to adjust it...
@yadmah2 жыл бұрын
That's a good question. My typical setups with the gyro will either be 1) just a single cable in the sbus going and channel 1 is empty, or 2) channel 1 for steering and channel 3 for gain. Either setup uses channel 3 for the gain. I haven't messed with the mixing menus before, mainly because the gyro has mixing capabilities too.

Can I run the GYD550 with a different servo other than Futaba. If so, what’s the process for setting it up using the Futaba 10px Radio.
@yadmah2 жыл бұрын
You sure can, however, you will want to make sure that damper in the settings of the gyro is set to 0. Dampener point can be left to default settings. Just make sure to set your end points via they gyro settings and not the end points in the radio settings.

Question i run normal mode but each time i switch menu the gyro Come back in avcs mode. and yes i save before you have any tips ?
@yadmah Жыл бұрын
You will tell the mode by actually looking at the gyro. Green is normal, Red is AVCS. If you are referring to when you go to the gyro link settings and each time it starts off on avcs mode, that is just how and where it starts. It's not actually switching the gyro between avcs and normal mode there, it's just the preferences of those modes during the set up screens.

Great vid guys! Hey I thought the instructions mentions something about only using futaba servos with the GYD550
@yadmah3 жыл бұрын
Not fully true. I would expect that their servos would respond the best with their gyro, but there are more than enough people that are running this gyro with non futaba servos. Just make sure that if the servo that you plan on using has any sort of dampening or "drift" specific servos, make sure you run the dampener menu option on Zero.

I have watched you video a couple of times & I have the FUTABA GYD550 in a few of my builds, but I have been befuddled on my current GT build. I have installed the CASTLE XLX2 ESC & 1721 motor. Everything is up and running, but i cannot get the gyro on line. It’s all wired, i have steering, but no counter steering. The gyro LED blinks red then green when the ESC is powered up, but does not light at all once the RC is on, i have no idea what to do with the “push switch”. Pushing it once makes the LED blink red slowly 10 times, then it stops blinking. Using them FUTABA T4PM radio i am able to go to gyro link, ch 1. Basic set comes. Up & the word write comes up. I depress the select button…then i am lost. I do not understand what i am doing wrong.
@yadmah2 жыл бұрын
It will look different from the 7px, but the terms should be similar enough. If you have no counter steer, make sure that you have the middle plug of the gyro, or the gain channel connected to channel 3 or 4 on your radio. Then set a trim switch or the dial to aux3 or aux4 depending on what channel your connecting to. When the gyro is "off" the light should be off as well. Normal mode is green, avcs is red. Also consider the servo that your using. It needs to be digital.

Hello guys, Received my Acuvance Xarvis xx + sbus today. Question- is it essential to update sbus and esc? I have 10px with gyd550 and ct702 servo, all updated but it bothers me if I should or not update sbus and esc🙏
@yadmah6 ай бұрын
Hey, sorry for a long wait for the reply. If it's all new, I would just try it to begin with. If you find that it works, but doesn't have the option for the 64khz drive frequencies, then you'll want to update the sbus and the esc. If you do find yourself needing to update the firmware, then make sure you pay close attention to the instructions. The one in particular is after flashing the esc firmware, if sbus is not responsive, make sure you switch the esc profile, to I think any profile besides stock, then try reading via sbus. If that doesn't work changing a value via a tao 3 programmer will work too.

@atlwoo If you are referring to the light on the receiver, Green is normal, Red is AVCS. You should be able to adjust the channel that the gyro is on to switch between modes. @yadmah2 жыл бұрын
What servo are you using? If it is an SR enabled servo, then you also need to make sure that SR is enabled on both the servo and on the gyro. If not SR then make sure that SR is disabled in the gyro. If neither of the above help, the does it only happen at a specific time, like when you hit turbo?
