The newer Tamiya F1 cars are setup to race on carpet tracks. Try to find one in your area if you can.

Yes, Aero is a huge part of R/C cars. All the racing classes rely heavily on aerodynamics and body types is a huge part of car setup. For both on and offroad. So yes the wings effect downforce.

i did some calculating and guessing its goes about 10m/s (36kph) and if the wind is going over the car properly it has a downforce of some 200 grams, wich in this case is about 10% of the weight of the car. however seeing versions going over 30m/s, these would produce 800 grams of downforce, this will increase cornering speed alot! however top speed also will reduce quite a lot

Thank you for your valuable report on downforce. In the case of on-board shooting, there is a large video mounted on the nose and body, is located in a high position that the weight of a video camera. Compared to the running of the vehicle alone, cornering require special attention.

Questions of aerodynamic from you of some. It is not an accurate answer ... RC of the video is equipped with front, rear wing. I think aero parts and working in RC car, but the weight of the onboard camera has been significantly affected to run.
