Hi Graham, thanks a lot for your nice words! You may guess how much fun, but also thrill it was to sail both ships (the camship and the Tug) through the waves.... :-) Did you also watch the "AZIZ in storm" ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/fWPKmZqGfrZ3oLc ) and the third storm-video ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/gnKrYnuodt-Ipa8 ) about the harbour-tug "NEW CASTLE" ? They might also be nice to watch for you. Thanks a lot for your comment based on your professional background! Best wishes, Holger from Subwaterfilm

Thank you for your nice comment, bigredc222! And yes it was really great fun! Both ships used in this clip where build from kits and slightly modified to cope with the "heavy seas" :-) and of course to fit the camarasystem. The owner of this wavepool for humans allows to use it for model events, and once a year they organize a big exhibition where, if there are interested modelbuilders, the wave machine gets switched on and allows in relative security to explore the possibilitys, which is great!

Hi Hobbykapitaen, vielen Dank. Wir hatten auch nasse Finger beim Fahren :-), zumindest die Aziz ist speziell für Hochseefahrten vorbereitet und hat auch auf der Ostsee schon so manchen Sturm überstanden. Again, hi John :-), thanks for all your comments, I like it, when someone really looks behind the contend of our clips. It's not easy to answer your question, both have pros and cons. in choppy water I would think, the Aziz would handle better. The Happy Hunter would be the one more easy to manoeuvre. They are so close to each other, it's really hard to say. Both are great in bad weather...and I like them both nearly equally. so it's up to you...;-)

@Subwaterfilm11 жыл бұрын
It depends on your preparation of the boats. As you might have seen at the end of this clip the superstructure of the Happy Hunter did jump off quite some centimeters. There are surprisingly strong forces at work when such a Ship gets pushed around... so, if not everything is well stowed and fixed the answer to your question is..yes, they flip and sink. But lucky nothing of this has happens to my boats :-)

And about your second question...actually yes. I did lose a very small offshore supply vessel in my early days. But not because of a storm-ride :-). out helped to assist a big modelship who's engines suddenly came to live. Hi Joe, the most important thing is to get the heavy weights like batteries and machineries as down as possible. And of course you have to secure everything to prevent water intrusion and loss because of wavehits. I once dived up an large modelboat where a small tiny hatch flew away and the whole ship sunk because of this. In the next week I will upload a small clip about the modifications I did to my models... if you´ve got further questions, just ask :-)

Best design for rough seas & Emergency Rescue. They should have 2nd tinder rescue vessels to deploy with a crane and they also are powered to pick up casualties

These are alot more dramatic than it should be
@Subwaterfilm7 жыл бұрын
Hi Raphael,... you are trying to tell me in a polite way, that the music is too dramatic? If yes, I must admit she actually is. This was a very early clip of us where we had only very limited acces to gemafree Music... about three songs 😇. Thanks a lot for your polite words and have a great day, Holger from Subwaterfilm
