I have 2 Tramps now and have been VERY happy with them. Using the 5v out from the Tramp to power the camera and it has all been rock solid. Bought the wand as well and updated it to version 1.0.5. I took my SPRacing Neo out as could not get that thing to work and replaced it with a Betaflight board and a Tramp in a Goby 180 and very clean install. Have the same setup in my QAV210 and have been very happy. For me the way to go now is a Betaflight board and a Tramp every day of the week.

I love the Tramp HV and have this fitted to all my models. Its kind to other as if you have the wand you can set up the Tramp before even powering up the craft. The wand is easy to use and once you have the wand you can set up all your models using the same wand. All your craft a race ready as the organiser can set your Tramp in pit mode so not to upset others until ready to race. The tramp is so small yet the power for this is unbeatable. I love that fact it has a rat tale to connect to the Arial this way you don`t pull the connector off the board in a hard crash. You want to put the receiver for the wand in an easy accessible place so you can place your wand over the board. It may take a short time till you get use to the wand and blipping and may be best not securing the board until happy with the location. Also remember that the rotors can rip the wires if you don’t secure the receiver board in a good place and as far as I can see you cant get replacements. The Tramp HV do cost but you pay for what you get and you get a lot with this for your hard cash. Painless360 You are bang on the nail with this and I would recommend using this on any FPV craft.

I bought the EU version of this. Is it true I'm stuck at 25mw max and there is no firmware flashing that can be done. Totally gutted I didn't know about this before I purchased!

I've got them to! I really like the wand and ofcourse the option through TX and osd icm BFF3 flightcontroller. Also Kiss is working on it to get it through osd or tx. Only thing is that the tramp is always on pitmode first. 👍🏻 keep it up, love youre channel.

I'm excited to see how the hobby continues this year. So cool you can set PIDs, VTX options and all sorts via things like the OSD.. The days of needing the laptop at the field are getting fewer and fewer! :D

hello Painless... the Wiki of betaflight says " For the serial interface to work on firmware 1.26, the TNR tag should be disconnected, otherwise, the tag is actively preventing the serial interface to work". This is what probably happens to me , as i can't save settings to enable uart3 and irc tramp... Do you know how to do (or where to look for ) this operation?? Thanks for help. Gianluca, Italy.

I ripped this out of my quad because I lost my rag with it. The button to change channels stopped working. the frequency i was stuck on was really poor and i just found it so disappointing. Going to try the tbs unify

Hi. Did you by any chance do any on the bench temperature readings? At full power 0.6W connected to a 4s lipo I'm getting 86degC, then it drops power and stabalises about 75degC so am a bit concerned about putting this in the enclosed, Ragg-e curse quad frame that I have it intended to go in. Thanks.

+Azwa Hanif that flight controller doesn't have an osd built-in. See the quadcopter build series for how to setup and use an integrated OSD.. Best of luck!

Hi. Please cam you help me... Can the telemetry pin connect to a 3.3v UART such as UART 3 on the SP F4 flight controller? Or does it have to be a 5V UART. Thanks

are there still differences between immersion RC products and receivers of other brands? I read something about different colors or a bad picture if you mix immersion with other brands or is this a problem of the past?

I used to come across that a little but haven't seen that for about 18 months here.. Most modern receivers seem to be able to work with just about anything! Happy flying!

I would like to state that this is not an ImmersionRC proprietary connector. It's just a simpel JST GH style connector. If you'd like to make your own cables you'd need following things: ✓ SN28-B crimping tool ✓ GHR-06V-S connector housings ✓ SSHL-002T-P0.2 crimp socket contacts ✓ 28AWG multi-stranded wire

I have just bought one of these transmitters - my first decent transmitter. But, i am gutted, i have bought the EU version from Hobbyking, so stuck at 25mw which is useless to me. To make it worse, i fly apm and pixhawk, so do not have anyway of connecting my new tx up to betaflight. I wish i had access to your race wand for 2 minutes so i could change it to the international settings. Can't believe that there is no onboard way of changing the setting - pretty gutted right now.

I don’t think that would help you. There are two versions of the wand and the consumer one (that I have) is only for changing the basic settings. There is another ‘full function’ one only available to authorised people. That one, I believe, can change things like max power settings. Hope you get it sorted soon, Happy flying!

Hi In my FC is only RX1 and TX1 I have ibus receiver connected to RX1 , can I connect tramp to TX1 and use it on the same uart ? Or can i connect to sbus pin? (Flysky receiver don’t work on sbus pin so i had no choice)

Probably not. The TX nad RX pins are usually connected to one UART and they can only be configured to do one thing at once usually..

my tramp hv gets very very hot. i can not touch surface with my finger. what can be the reason?

It should get warm on the higher powers but getting really hot points to a problem..

@@Painless360 i tried 25mW but it is still too hot. but never goes thermal protection mode. i put little heatsink on it however it is hot. checked the sma connector before antenna, there is no problem. also no proplem on image. but it is annoying..

So I got this thing and I could not be more unhappy with it. Power seems much less than what is advertised. I added a nice heatsink to coop with the hight temperature at hight power, but that did not improve the reception. I compared it to a cheap Chinese 600mW VTX which actually blew me away in comparison. And to discard any thoughts that I might be some dumb noob not knowing what he's talking about, I am the developer of KissKONG OSD, which is the first AVR based OSD firmware to support natively TrampHV telemetry and control (at least I'm not aware of any others that have done it) and soon to support SmartAudio. I have the feeling this is a case of nice idea but bad execution.

I also have the power meter they make and noticed that power would not go above 460mW. I thought that might be because it did not have heatsink and I was testing it on my desk. I have the feeling that even that is not a correct number. I had a lot more penetration with the chinese 600mW VTX than the Tramp and I mean huge difference. I also noticed that if the temperature goes above 80 degrees C, communication with the VTX also stops. And getting 80C on the bench takes a minute at 200mW. Honestly I do not know what to think at this point. I can not say that I'm getting 400mW worth of VTX.
