What to tell about this? Well not much. I really did my best and wasnt expecting this to happen at the end. But crashes happens no matter what. Like always its really hard to say what happened here. Maybe it was my mistake, maybe it was tip stall, maybe it was differential thrust, maybe it was signal loss, maybe it was the position of the moon ;-) At the end the gravity was stronger. If we have learned something from this then its OK. Nevertheless it was still great flight and we did have good time filming it. Maybe at the end I will fix it and full throttle all over again. I wish you all great weekend and happy landings. At least a little better then mine here ;-) Big salute from Slovenia, Pilot Robert

You have done some incredible work fixing planes before and I think you could do it all over again. No question. She might not be the world's greatest flyer she could even be a hangar Queen with a little paint - maybe all black stealth paint and then you won't see the glue 😁

We had a sports teacher, Mr Les Brown, who was a tail-gunner on Lancasters..Mad from PTSD but a great guy. He said Lancs would do 5 or 6 tip stalls during 1 single flight, but the slower scale gave the pilot time to respond.. Usually.. So, a scale crash! Never mind, realistic at the end! Big salute as ever from London.

I have the privilege since 2003 to be flying a SuperMiss 1.4 meter version from Scorpio (Italian kit), mine has a center servo under the main wing for alerions. Luckily when I got the plane I purchased an extra kit, so if this old lady ever has issues I have spare parts. Runs with a Axi brushless with a 40amp Esc, 3cell 11.v 2500mAh. Often have 15 to 18 min flight times before my 3.5volt alarm sounds. This is such a amazing plane, graceful flyer yet, able to do slow rolls with adequate pitch up, and loops. Floats in on landings like a feather. Recently converted from, a JR crystal radio to Dx6e and new 4 channel Rx. I have other planes and gliders in my RC inventory, but the Supermiss is treasure, always get comments at the field from other flyers that love the old style build and coverings. Poetry in motion.

When you slowed down on that last turn I saw that coming 🙈 differential thrust when your going slow actually makes tip stalling worse sadly. An iconic warbird that looked so amazing in the air, my advice glue it back together, turn off differential thrust, mix rudder to aileron and have no flapperons. I am sure everyone would love to see you have another go 😁👍 I certainly do 👌
@billg72053 жыл бұрын
Yep never used diff thrust or flaperons and never will. Didn't realize it had those features. Flaperons are the last thing I'd use with a subject like this. The model appears to have CR props also, which should help. I regularly use rudder mix, and it's amazing how little it takes to do the job.

It was flying really nice!! My humble opinion, the spin was because the differential power, thats why when you loose an engine in a twin engine aircraft, you must avoid to turn on the dead engine side, and you can see the spin was to the same side of powerless engines. But of course, as you said, this is not the end of the world!! From every crash you learn invaluable things. Kind regards!!
