Remember you said the light shows up to help when you plug/ unplug, and I thought that was it and there was light strips on the wings etc. But that's cool having them inside to light up the whole plane! Still waiting for an opportunity to take my Commander to our one of the clubhouse lakes and see what the lights look like in the dark. Oh, wow...waiting to see Pilot Ryan & Bobby K fly it.. they were tied up w/the HSD 120MM "ITS NOT A TURBEEEN!" (But it sounded like!) T-33 .. I had a great time watching y'all this week! Thanks again&+++! I did a dusk/nite demo of my origional Timber 1.5(w/my added tail light, old patio light LED+resistor... not "airframe" lit, just position lights) Made an 86yr old State Park officer grin like a little kid! I have 130 hours of night flying time on my Timber, nice planes, the whole family! The 1.5M wing is less acrobatic, but Turbo is more so, (stiffer w/more power) & 1.2M is all out ACRO+3D! Keep sharing the fun guys!

Other than the Night Timber X, is there any RC Plane that is good for night flying? Also can e-flite night timber x fly in completely dark soccer field? Is there a "switch" to turn off the light while flying during day time? Thanks!

Not a switch to turn it off in the air but there is a small wire where you plug the battery in and you can unplug that red wire for no lights.

I find I cannot fly and talk at the same time. I just try and concentrate on what I am doing. I have added lights on many of my smaller planes using strip LEDS. I have 4 or 5 reels of the led's that I got for lighting models before I got into RC Planes, then I found companys that offered lights on RC Planes and the rest was easy for me. You are brave getting wet!

I would say a good third plane, until then, try something less 3D like. The Turbo Timber Evolution for a high wing, Or... The Piper Cherokee, it's been on back order for a while, they are coming back in stock this month, or the next. I could go on and on about suggestions. Hope this helps.

Yes, I upgraded to a Timber X after learning on an Apprentice S2. The Timber X does not have 3D capabilities in SAFE mode. So you can work into 3D stuff later on if you want. I always use the flaps when landing.

Ive since got one. Maybe 25 flights. Hate the bottom battery compt. During daytime, the night leds are disconnected as the little servo looking power plug is tapped just behind the main battery IC3 plug. It only kills the white internal leds and not the main external running lights. Ill look and see if I have an extra port on my Rcvr. If so, I have an extra channel on my DX8. Thx

I’m seeing that ad a bunch too. Bottom line: an EDF jet on par with what the ad shows/implies costs waaaaay more than $20. So, for all practical purposes, it has to be a fraud. 🤥 I’ve noticed a recent spike in ads across KZbin that are highly suspicious and/or have click-baity/inappropriate content. Apparently “scam & scum” must be the happenin’ advertising model right now (😡🙈). Really wish there was a way to flag those ads for review. As far as I know, channels don’t get to control which ads play alongside their videos. With the ads trending the way they are, no doubt plenty of channel owners would _like_ to have more control over ad selection...

The "sponsored content" ads are baked into the channel's video itself. KZbin's mid-roll ads (or whatever they call that option) temporarily interrupt the channel's video to play the (separate) ad video. The notion that KZbin ads and advertisers are approved/endorsed by the channels they appear alongside is a common misperception. And the unscrupulous advertisers take advantage of that. 🙁
