So the "Look what I'm planning" ending works with the transition into Darkness on the album. There are a lot of lyrics referencing the idea this is him getting loaded at the casino, turning into a monster before heading up to the room for the sad stuff. Like "Hit the deck, like a card dealer". I always saw them as two sides of a coin. Em does that across his albums.

I think you missed the whole concept of Godzilla. This isn't a simple brag rap song. He's talking about how he feels/acts and what happens when he got drunk. The monster is a drunk Eminem. He tells us all the context we need to know at the beginning of the song "I can swallow a bottle of alcohol and I'll feel like Godzilla" talking about how your mouth burns when you drink alcohol "hit the deck like a card dealer" is him getting punched in the face or blacking out from the alcohol. When he says he's a monster it's all about his behavior when he was drunk.

I think the album itself was a great project. The theme was great, the music was great, lyrics were great, and I also think that in some of the rhymes that may confusing at first and/or second listen, they are that way because they are extremely well hidden double, triple, and quadruple entendres. He does this technique a lot I've learned over the years of listening to him.

I get that this wasn't on genius, but the "set trip" bar is alluding to throwing up your set or throwing up gang signs. His gang is the people that don't give a damn, and his gang sign is the middle finger. I'm a big Eminem fan but he has a point. There's a sense of lack of quality control in his writing process. There are way too many punchlines and obviously not all of them are going to be good... Especially considering the fact he has that tendency of referencing outdated events and irrelevant people, so even if the line is good you are not going to catch it because you don't even know what he's talking about. I don't mind some of that but I understand it can be frustrating for many people

I think the "Man stop," at the end was supposed to be a transition into Juice Wrld's verse. I think I remember hearing somewhere that Juice was supposed to have a guest verse as well as sing the chorus but he died before he could record the verse. So, that "man stop," could've been Juice going "Em, stop, it's my turn now," and that would've brought us into the last part of the song, presumably with another go around of the chorus

I get the impression that people in general are pressing their idea for what they want Em to do on his project rather than hearing it for what it is. Therefore they set themselves up for a disappointment that they were looking for. The album was great 👍🏿

Good album he took a more direct look into his life as well as some bangers apart from a few hooks the album was great I don't think you can appreciate that hes taking a new direction through a mix and combination of new rappers while also paying homage to his roots and past

I tink the reason eminem mentions ray J is just because of the rhymes available itht he double "ay" vowel sounds, its easy and catchy

From what I read somewhere someone thinks this song is about em battling slim shady and that's why Mike Tyson punches em because em has to live under the destruction that slim made for him. Basically slim is running the show, and slim is getting drunk at the red carpet, and slim is ruining the show with his antics, people are getting mad at slim, so mike punches slim, but shoot that wasnt slim that was em, and mikey feels bad. The end is slim saying look what I'm planning as in he will end up killing eminem

Very accurate review in that em has many good lines, but that there are filler bars that he should CLEARLY know are not at the same caliber as the others. And it really does take away from the build of the song. I feel the same not just within individual songs, but his last few albums as well. With MTBMB you get great songs like Premonition, You Gon Learn, Darkness, Lock it up, No Regrets, and especially I Will (total TES vibe for me) but terrible tracks that NEED to be cut, for example Those Kinda Nights, In Too Deep, Farewell (not as bad but still lower tier). It doesn’t bother me that much since I just make an edited version of the album with the songs I do want to listen to but I feel like if he did have better quality control, he would be viewed so much more positively as critics will always point to the lowest point on his albums as representative of his current skill. When Em is good, he’s great, the GOAT imo. But when he tries to appease his pop fans, it just doesn’t work well for me (with a few exceptions)

I think the Chris D'Elia reference was him being super self aware about what exactly he was doing in the end of the song. He knew that style of rap is exactly what people knew for.

Blood on the dance floor is an emo band, the fact that I know this hurts me inside, but I’ve also never heard that phrase being used without it being a reference to the band. Given that the song and chorus are about “monsters” and the bands lead singer has a reputation for going after under age girls, it’s probably supposed to be a reference to that. Or I’m just tripping because of all the other random references to people Em made in this video. But that’s the first thing I thought when I heard/saw that line.
